If you’ve never played before, now’s your chance! We’ll also play disc golf on the 9-hole course. *July 1st Sailing & Scuba Burlington Community Sailing Center & North Beach 8am-4pm, $30.00 per person, lunch included. Learn to sail Lake Champlain on a catamaran in the morning and then walk down the bike path to North Beach to get a taste for scuba diving and to enjoy lunch! July 8th Photography in Montreal Montreal’s Biodome & Downtown 9am-6pm, $25.00 per person, lunch included. Explore the art of photography in Montreal! There will be lots of photo opportunities when we visit the Biodome in the morning and then travel to other parts of Montreal. Bring your own camera or use your phone camera and get creative! July 15th Montreal Museum of Science 9am-6pm, $25.00 per person, lunch included. Relive the adventures of Indiana Jones, the movie’s most popular, globe-trotting archaeologist, by exploring the science and secrets of his many on-screen archaeological discoveries. After that, we will watch the I-Max movie showing at the museum. If there is time, we will walk around Old Montreal too! *Trip is pending funding Drop off and pick up of participants will be at the Milton Elementary School. July 22nd Cirque du Soleil On the pier in Old Montreal 2pm-11pm, $35.00 per person, dinner included. Don’t miss Cirque du Soleil’s spectacular show, “Totem,” showing in Montreal this summer! Inspired by many founding world beliefs, Totem illustrates, through visual and acrobatic performances, the fascinating journey of the human species. July 29th Hiking at Little River State Park Litte River State Park, Waterbury, Vermont 9am-5pm, $10.00 per person, lunch included. A piece of Old Vermont awaits you on these hiking trails. Experience historic sites on the hillside that was once a farming community in the early 1800’s. Walk along old country roads and view the remains of stone walls, foundations, cemeteries, orchards, the last standing farmhouse and what once was open farmland. After the hike we’ll head over to Ben & Jerry’s Factory for ice cream! *August 5th Ropes Course Northern Lights Rock and Ice at The Essex Resort & Spa 9am-5pm, $20.00 per person, lunch included. Have fun playing together, bonding and socializing. Whatever your ability level is, there is something for you! Take an adrenaline pumping walk on the ropes course, rock climb and more! *August 12th The Great Escape Lake George, New York 7am-7pm, $25.00 per person, lunch included. The Great Escape is a a 140-acre theme park featuring awesome rides, great shows, and incredible attractions, plus Splashwater Kingdom water park. There is something for everyone. What a fun way to spend a summer day! August 19th Picnic at North Beach 10am-4pm, $10.00 per person, lunch included. The last hurrah of the summer season! Sit back, relax, swim and enjoy the sun. Spend the day dreaming about the summer while snacking on hot dogs, pasta and even S’mores. Don’t forget your swimsuit and SPF! Yeah! Summer is Coming!The Milton Community Youth Coalition (MCYC) is proud to present Summers 4 Youth 2011, a fun summer program for Milton youth in grades 7 -12. Summers 4 Youth is an opportunity for young people to enjoy new and exciting experiences, all at a discounted rate! The program is partially funded by the Drug Free Communities Grant.

The mission of the MCYC is to foster a community that values youth by reaching out to, educating and supporting families in making positive, healthy and substance free choices. We are a committed group of community members who live, work and play in Milton, Vermont. We are parents, teachers, teens, business owners, concerned citizens, mentors, kids, community leaders and friends.
