HOW DID YOU USE MEDIA TECHNOLOGIES IN THE CONSTRUCTION AND RESEARCH, PLANNING AND EVALUATION STAGES?

Construction and Research When constructing my music video our group

used Panasonic HD cameras to film both our performance and narrative shots. With this camera it was easy for us to film our group shots as we could turn around the lens to see if we were all in the shot, it was also high quality and easy to view on the camera itself and uploads on to the computer to edit.

When editing my music video I used Adobe Premiere Pro software which enabled me to sync multiple clips to the track that I uploaded. This made it easy for me to then select the clips I wanted to use and put them in order of my storyboard. On this software I was then able to add on effects and change the brightness and contrast to make the clips brighter and more exciting.

The main media technology I used when researching conventions with in the POP genre is the internet as there are many sites I used to find out information as well as display the information on my blog, for example:

- I used YouTube to watch music videos within the same POP genre and pick out the conventions as well as analyse the narrative.

- Google to research mise en scene, target audience and the lyrics to the song as well as Google documents to create a questionnaire to research in to what my target audience prefer.

- A blog poll and email to produce a band name.

As well as:

- Slide share to upload the power points I made to my blog.

When planning my music video I used sites such as Prezi and Slide share to upload power points to my blog to display my work, this is a simple way for people to view my work.

When planning my music video I had to research into my target audience, I done this by using the internet such as sites like YouTube to get the statistics and questionnaires to find out what they like in a music video and then created a Voki which represents someone from my target audience. This is a good way of demonstrating my target audience on my blog.

I used sites such as vid me up to upload videos I made on Panasonic HD cameras of my focus group speaking about what they like in a music video, as well as creating a story board on Adobe premiere pro and uploading it onto my blog.

I used Fujifilm cameras to take pictures for my location shoot, it was then simple for me to upload and create a presentation to show where I will film the performance and narrative shots.

I also used social networking sites such as Facebook to communicate with my group as well as my target audience to receive feedback.

For my evaluation I have used the technologies I have previously used within the other processes such as research, planning and construction for example:

OVERALL BLOGGER HAS BEEN THE MAIN MEDIA TECHNOLOGY I HAVE USED AS THIS IS THE SITE I HAVE PRESENTED ALL OF MY DOCUMENTS AND PRESENTATIONS ON FOR EVERYONE TO SEE.
