I was very surprised by how important it is to know what my target audience responds to. I used my feedback at every stage regarding all three of my products. The feedback really helped me to clarify my ideas and produce a storyboard . I was given ideas as to how I could portray the things I wanted to capture on camera in an easier way although I had planned to take as much footage as possible and use whatever worked during editing. To gather feedback on both my productions; music video digipack and advertisement, I got other classes with people I had never met to give feedback and fill out a questionnaire, I did this to see if my understanding of audience’s had been successful. This was effective for developing a questionnaire that was diverse and allowed a clear difference to be shown in each persons opinion.

Each time I made a draft for all three of my products I put together a focus group of male and females ranging for the ages of 16-19.The first focus group they told me my music video footage was very good and they liked the greyscale effect however they notice and so did I that the lip syncing wasn’t quite right. I really did struggle trying to get the lip syncing in time. They said they was a bit confused on the story so I am going to make the story more clear by putting the scenes in order of her by day and prostitute by night. Therefore I came to the conclusion I was going to completely start fresh and make the changes that my audience recommended. In the focus group the said they like how I have kept the greyscale theme throughout all of my three products. However they said the image I have used for my digipak and poster could be changed. I showed them all the images I had taken and we went through which ones where more effective then others. I changed my digipak and magazine poster image after discussing these. I also put my products on social media such as Instagram and Facebook to get different kinds of feedback from different sorts of people.

I took into account what my audience said and made the changes to improve. I changed the image to a more striking photograph with a better effect and also changed the font completely to something much more bold.

Based on this feedback, I learned that my music video draft was not at its best the only way for me to improve it was to act on my audience feedback. This meant that I changed my lip sync and made my story more clear, however I didn’t add a male character because I felt it didn’t need one.

From my audience feedback she mentioned keeping the water image which I liked so I did, however she was disappointed by the other photos I had chosen from seeing all the photos that I had done therefore I chose my stronger images and added a more brightened effect.
