Adopt a Shelter Dog
Riley is a spunky little guywith a lot of love to give tohis forever home. He's an 11-month-old Pekingese Mixwho weighs about 19 pounds. He's a very unique lookingguy, with an adorable face, anextra-long body and a beauti-ful red and white coat.
Riley was surrendered as apuppy because he had some
behavior issues and nipped at a family member in his firsthome. But with consistent training in his current foster home,he's doing great and learning to be a polite, well behaved boy.Riley loves to play like any normal puppy, and his favoritetoys are his tug rope and his small rubber ball. He's alwaysexcited to play fetch, and is a fast learner... after a few weekshe's already learned to dance, shake and lay down. He lovesbones, snuggling on the couch, and finding a warm sunnyspot for afternoon naps.
Riley is fully house-broken and does great on a regularschedule. He loves long walks, and is learning not to pull onhis leash. He's very curious and wants to sniff everything.Riley does well meeting other small dogs in controlled set-tings-when attending family events with other pets or at theneighborhood dog park. He will do best in a home wherethere are no small children.
The right forever home for Riley will have lots of patienceand willingness to continue with his training. At 11 monthsold, he tends to express himself with his mouth and is stilllearning that even gentle bites are not appropriate. Riley isapprehensive about meeting men, but warms right up afterslow, positive introductions to new people. He’s very affec-tionate after he feels comfortable!
Riley is such a cutie and will make a great addition to thefamily! He’s neutered, microchipped, and up to date withrabies and distemper. He’s also parasite and heartworm free. For more information on adopting Riley or any of our otherdogs visit our website: www.smalldogsminnesota.org or callErin at 507-358-0210.

Small towns and family owned businesses go handin hand. Brothers Greg and Troy Kuball are secondgeneration owners of Kasson Hardware Hank, Rental& Gifts and Pine Island Hardware Hank, Rental &Gifts. Their parents, Milt and Nancy Kuball, boughtKasson Hardware Hank more than 32 years ago,November 15, 1980. The last 13 of those years havebeen at the current location. Troy manages the PineIsland store.
Greg, who runs the Kasson store, said they wouldnot have been able to expand and survive withoutsupport of the local people. "We have people tell usall the time they like our store and the selection," saidGreg. "We try and keep a wide selection of mer-chandise." He adds that the most satisfying commentthey receive is when ladies come into the store andsay, "We love your store".
Greg feels that if the business had remaineddowntown they could have survived, but not thrived. The present location has allowed allowed KassonHardware Hank, to expand their product line andbecome Kasson Hardware Hank, Rental & Gifts.
"We strive to give people a positive shoppingexperience and stock what the customer wants. Whywould you want to go somewhere else to shop?"asked Greg. He adds that the emphasis is on keepinga variety of inventory and great customer service."When a customer comes in and asks a questionabout a product or project they are doing, our staff isknowledgable and can answer their questions," saidGreg.
With the reality of spring fast approachingKasson Hardware Hank Rental & Gifts is gearing upfor one of the the two busiest times of the year (theother is the Christmas holiday). Rest assured therewill be no waiting in long lines, parking is easy andthere is friendly customer service at no extra charge!
