FIRST LAYER: 1 c. flour, 1/2 c. margarine, 1/2 c. chopped nuts. Mix and put in 9 x13 pan. Bake at 350º for 12 minutes, cool.SECOND LAYER: Blend 8 oz. cream cheese with 1 c. powdered sugar add 1 c.non-dairy whipped topping. Put on top of cooled crust. THIRD LAYER: Prepare 2 small pkgs. instant lemon pudding (only use 3 c. milk)FOURTH LAYER: Top with non-dairy whipped toppingSprinkle nuts on top.
Saute 3 medium sliced zucchini (take seeds out) and 1/2 c. chopped onion in 2tbls. oil.
Mix 1 lb. low-fat cottage cheese, 1 tsp. basil and 1/2 tsp. oregano.
Place alternating layers of zucchini and cottage cheese and 2 fresh tomatoespeeled and sliced. Top with 1/3 c. Parmesan cheese. Bake 25-30 minutes at350º. 8 servings.

Rick and Kim Rudlong have lived inrural Kasson for the past 10 years. Theyalso have a painting business called"RicKim Painting".

The Governing Board of the Zumbro Education District No. 61-6012met in regular session on August 16, 2012 at the Zumbro Education DistrictOffice. The Chair, Ron Janning, called the meeting to order. At the roll callthe following members were present: Duane Bartel, Judy Thompson,Peggy Harris, Elizabeth Lawson and Carol Anhalt, Executive Director.Brenda Becker and Angela Heiden were absent. Heidi Kass recorded theminutes.

Carol Anhalt presented the Director’s Report. A complete report is onfile at the ZED office. Carol summarized the summer workshops that havebeen held at ZED and the various summer programs for students. August27th will be the first day back for ZED staff and the staff in-service will beheld at Quarry Hill featuring a presentation by Diane Amundson on com-municating effectively. This year, the staff and students of both the ZEDALC/RESULTS Program and the programs at South Campus will be join-ing together on “The Year of the Wolf”, which will be the theme for a vari-ety of academic activities and will culminate in the spring with a trip toWolf Ridge Environmental Learning Center in Finland, MN. Variousfundraising activities and grants will help offset the cost of this trip for stu-dents.
The next meeting will be held on September 20, 2012 at 7:00 p.m.

This was a very toughweek of picks and both Pattyand Ashley tied with threewrong. The tiebreaker wasthe K-M vs. Zumbrota-Mazeppa game where theKoMets won 54-7. Ashleyhad the score 43-6 and Patty35-24 with K-M winningboth games. Ashley's scorewas closer to the final.
