This year we will be helping them by providing blankets, tarps and tents to the homeless that live in the woods (yes, woods). Please go through your closets and pull blankets that you no longer use or want and consider donating to this worthy cause. Please watch for boxes around church to make your donations of blankets, tarps and tents through the month

of November. This project is sponsored by the Youth. Children’s Musical Rehearsal - The children will be rehearsing their musical, scheduled for December 12th at 6:30 pm, today at 6:00 pm (just speaking parts), Wednesday, November 17th at 7:15 pm and Sunday, November 21st at 6:00 pm.

Raleigh Rescue Mission Project: Holiday Meals to Go

These holiday meal boxes go home with the RRM (Raleigh Rescue Mission) residents who will be reunited with family after

many months, or even years, of no contact. They send their residents home with the meal as a kind of “olive branch.” They feel like a contributing member of the family and of course, food always brings people together. The goal is to prepare 15 boxes. We are looking for S.S. Classes, individuals, teams, committees, etc. who are willing to take part in this mission. The deadline is November 17th. Please see items below to pack in the box. This project is sponsored by the Youth.

Holiday Family Meals to Go

To feed 10-15 people:

2 - bags or boxes stuffing mix 2 - boxes instant mashed potatoes

2 - cans chicken broth 3 - cans cranberry sauce

4 - cans corn 1 - 24-pack dinner rolls

4 - cans green beans or garden peas 2 - jars of turkey gravy

Dessert (e.g., pie, cake mix and frosting, brownie mix)

Holiday-themed paper napkins, plates and cups, disposable tablecloth

Place the items in copier paper boxes or bankers’ boxes -- you will probably

need 2 or 3 boxes per each complete meal.

Thank you for blessing our clients so that they may in turn

bless their families and friends by sharing God’s

bounty this holiday season.

Thank You

A thank you note was received from Vane Polky. He says, “I would like to thank you for all your prayers, cards and well wishes. It meant so much to me during my recovery.” The card is on the bulletin board in the education building.
