Swimming Carnival
Congratulations on a fantastic carnival last week. The winning house was Whales. An assembly was held on Monday at 9:30am for the presentation of
ribbons.
NSW Bus Safety Awareness Week
Over 1 million students in NSW travel to & from school each day, many by bus. In the last five years, three children were tragically killed after alighting from a bus and being struck by another vehicle. NSW Bus Safety Week runs from 18-24 February 2019 to highlight the importance of bus-related safety issues for all road users. It is part of the Be Bus Aware campaign which aims to improve awareness for how all road users can keep safe on & around buses.
Tips for keeping safe around buses:
o Adults – always hold your child’s hand when crossing the road. Meet your child at the bus stop – NEVER wait on the opposite site of the road and call them across. Wait until the bus has gone then use a safe place to cross the road. Supervise your child walking to & from the bus & crossing the road until they are at least 10. o Drivers – slow down to 40km/h when the bus lights are flashing.
