Expansion of Manufacturing Facility

Herbion recently acquired a state of the art manufacturing facility in Islamabad previouslyowned by Pfizer Pakistan.

The building infrastructure is laid out on area of 11.3 acres with built up area of roughly 70,000square feet.

The well planned infrastructure encompasses of:

- Warehouses

- Utility buildings

- manufacturing and packaging facilities to produce pharmaceutical products

The same was in use by Pfizer to manufacture and pack pharmaceutical complying with ISO9001 and 14000 standards.

The purpose behind the acquisition of this facility is directly aligned with Herbion’s Vision whichrevolves around diversification and stepping into wide-ranging categories in order to cater thesophisticated and ever growing demands of today’s consumers.

Capability of developing all oral dosage forms including:

- Syrups - Capsules

- Ointments - Tablets

Current capacity of tablets is 50,000 tablets per hour

Have enough space to accommodate compression machines to produce 200,000 tablets per hour and also blister the same number of tablets.

Current capacity of Syrups is 60 bottles per minute, which can go up to 180-200 bottles per minute if switched to a high speed liquid filling line.

Have enough space to accommodate two high speed filling lines and production can be increased to 360-400 bottles per minute.

Investment in high speed machines on immediate basis subject to requirement.

Herbion maintains well equipped and automated Extraction units, which extract all types of herbs whilecarefully ensuring that the natural goodness and efficacy of the herbs is not compromised.

To keep abreast with international standards amodern, well equipped and automated herbspray drying extraction plant is being establishedwhich is currently in the completion stage.

The said plant which is based in Lahore will beone of the largest spray-drying facilities in thisregion that will run with most advancedtechnology which assures extraction of all typesof herbs while maintaining complete qualitycontrol standards.
