Meet at Conesa Parking lot to car-pool, a very worthwhile cause. 10 4:00 PM Memorial Mass for deceased Knights. Please attend this Mass out of respect for our fallen Knights and in support of the families left behind. Worthy Grand Knight Don Mangers has arranged space at the Sandpiper Restaurant for a dinner after the service please contact Don to make your RSVP. You have a choice of 3 entrees, Salmon $13.95, Chicken Piccata $13.95, and a Thursday night Special Ribs $14.95, Tax and Gratuity not included. Dessert is extra. Happy Hour Starts at 5:00 PM. CHAPLAIN’S MESSAGE
Dear Brother Knights,
I encourage you and your families to attend our 2016 Advent Parish Mission, “Living the Catholic Life: Radical Love” to be presented by Ken Yasinki, a Catholic Lay Evangelist, November 27 – 30 at 6:30 p.m. repeated the next morning at 10:00 a.m. !This is Ken’s second visit to our parish. He is a dynamic speaker and faithful Catholic. I encourage you to wear your K of C shirt and give witness to the support of the Knights for our Advent mission. These few hours spent at the beginning of the Advent season will surely pay off with many blessings for Advent and Christmas. I’ll look forward to seeing you there.

Also a big thank you to Paul and his wife Lou for their coordinating and getting people to volunteer for the 40 days for life. !Thanks to Nick & Barbara Caleca for organizing the team for the Faith Formation meals and Fellowship Sunday Donuts and Coffee. What a “dynamic dual” !Congratulation to John Boa on being chosen as Knight of the Month for September for his work on the Italian Dinner. Nick & Barbara Caleca received the honor for Family of the Month for September for their involvement in so many projects for the Knights and Prince of Peace Parish. !Mike McCluskey was recognized for his dedication and success while serving as Past Grand Knight. This was the second time for Mike to serve as Grand Knight. The Council is forever grateful for his leadership. !We welcome to our Council two new 1st Degree members, Joe Epstein wife Barbara and Joe O’Brien wife Fran. Thanks to them both for getting involved so quickly by helping with the Oktoberfest. !Mark your calendar for January 17th, which is our Fraternal Benefits Night. A great opportunity to learn more about the many benefits offered through the Knights. !SPECIAL NOTE: !Remember our November meeting date has been moved to Tuesday November 15th due to Election Day falling on our regular meeting date of the 2nd Tuesday of the month. Also we have moved the time for our Executive Board meeting to 5:00 to give us more time between the board meeting and business meeting. !Thanks to all of you for your wonderful support and look forward to a busy and fun 2017. Knights, !Our schedule in September and October has been a full one. Thanks to everyone that got involved to make both the Italian Dinner and Oktoberfest a great success. Particularly to John Boa, and his kitchen staff Larry
Seike, Leo Pelzel, Norm Seitz, John Armstrong, Bill McCracken for the many hours of preparing food for the Italian Dinner and to Mike & Shirley McCluskey, Mike & Louise Wagner, Elaine Tatem, Judy Mangers for all their hours preparing the fantastic home made German Potato Salad & Cabbage and John Clarkin cooking the mouth watering bratwurst prepared for the Oktoberfest. And to all the support crew with to many names to list. !Joe Frank and Dick Heitzman will be selling Christmas Cards again this year. They welcome any brother Knight to help sell too. They will be available to purchase in the Conesa Center beginning Wednesday November 7th and every Monday, Wednesday and Friday through December 16th or, on until they run out. We did run out last year so come early and not be disappointed. !The annual Military Ball is fast approaching on January 27th. Plans are underway by Tom Bullaro Faithful Navigator for the 4th Degree and Nick Caleca Chairman for this event. Please help Nick when asked to support our Military. Even though this is a 4the Degree project it would be great to have every able body 3rd Degree Knight to get involved to make this event a success. More information will be coming soon. !Duncan Farney and his team have been putting plans together for our annual Christmas Dinner & Dance. They will need volunteers so please help if asked or call Duncan to volunteer. We will be selling tickets at Conesa Center along with Christmas Cards. !Father Kovanis will be celebrating the Memorial Mass for deceased Knights on November 10th at 4:00 pm. We will have a dinner social following at the Sandpiper Restaurant. RSVP to me as soon as possible. !Thanks to Paul Carren for coordinating the Knights and to those Knights serving to help with the liturgy for the Columbus Day Mass. !Anita and I would like to wish you and your loved ones a Happy Thanksgiving, a most Merry Christmas, and a healthy and happy New Year. !Our annual Military Ball will be held on January 27, 2017. Due to the recent illness of Sir Knight Val Korolevich, Nick Caleca has offered to chair this event. Many thanks to Val for getting the event started and many thanks to Nick for stepping up to the challenge. Tickets and posters for the Military Ball are being
printed as this newsletter goes to press. To reserve a table and individual tickets please call Nick Caleca at 314-703-6789 also tickets will be going on sale at Conesa Center dates to be announced. !Sir Knights and Brothers I am asking for help with our pancake breakfast on the 3rd Sunday of each month. As you may or may not know the proceeds from this event go toward offsetting our costs at Haley’s VA Hospital where we host Bingo games for our Vets.
