Step 2: Make Contact

Initially, you just want to get on their radar.

Step 2.5: Make Direct ContactThey should know your name/face by the time you reach out to them.

DO NOT: Tell them all about your cat.

DO: Ask them about their cat.

What NOT To Do

Step 3: Pitch Your IdeaBe sure to tailor your idea for their audience, and make sure it’s something they haven’t covered.

Step 4: Write the PostDO: Link to their postsDO NOT: Only link to your postsDO: Imitate their writing style and tone

Step 5: Promote Like Crazy

Make them want more.
