I grew up going to concerts and music festivals. I love listening to music. Loud.

I probably wasn’t the ideal neighbour in years past – but I think I made the right move living in communities where there were like-minded neighbours. In fact, in one place I regularly popped next door for impromptu dance breaks.

I guess if you’re enjoying it, and it works for you and your neighbours, then it’s fi ne – but

this isn’t the norm. Residents are guaranteed a reasonable level of enjoyment of their home, and nobody’s need to listen to loud music supersedes that.

If you’re losing enjoyment of your home because of noise, talk to the neighbours and/or the landlord.
