That’s when you realize you have about five thousand different things to worry about before your feet hit the sand and that mojito finally makes it into your hands. I’m talking about those little details you worry about that can ruing a trip. Like the possibility of losing your passport at the last possible moment, wondering if you actually locked the back door of your home and the thought of forgetting to ask your parents to feed the cat. Then there’s the anxiety that comes with actually leaving your home behind. Those four walls hold all your worldly positions so it’s kind of normal that it’s totally a big deal.
Still, summer has arrived and you have earned a vacation. Don’t let fear stand between you and the perfect sun tan. Just follow these simple steps to rest assured and have your rental still standing for your homecoming.
LEAVE YOUR HOME KEY WITH SOMEONE YOU TRUST
This is one of those moments where you realize how valuable a good friendship with your neighbours can be. If you’re living in a secure building, you shouldn’t really be letting your friends come and go while you are away and it’s just easier to have someone as close as next door to check on your place. If you’re comfortable with it, tell your neighbour the details of your trip and give them access to your home in case of any emergencies.
