The Paintball Club is a fully fledged Paintball company with a permanent playing field in

Lonavala, a picturesque hill station 90 kms from Mumbai. We also offer our services across

the country through our mobile setup. We have already worked with a number of large

corporate houses using paintball as a part of their training and incentives program.

We try to differentiate ourselves on two principles – one, we really go out of our way to

customize the events based on the specific requirements. This is true for both corporate and

retail customers. For example, for a recent birthday party, we imported special additional

equipment from the US to enhance their experience. Likewise, for corporates, we’re now

designing specific learning “modules”. Second, we work very hard on safety. And we have an

unblemished safety record till date – that for us is at the heart of everything we do. And it

really requires a lot of background work – right from using the world-class safety gear and

well maintained paint markers to trained marshals in each quadrant of the field.

A ROBUST STRATEGY/APPROACH:

Different team-members havedifferent ways of thinking - which iswhy a team answer is always strongerthan an individual's.

Application: In paintball - to achieve

the team's objective, the members can

take different strategies. Swoop from

the side, provide cover fire from the

bunker and swoop from the centre -

the combinations are numerous. A

healthy debate and a common

resolution is critical in the 5-minute

strategizing time before every mission.


FLAWLESS EXECUTION BASED ON TRUST

In the execution phase, each member

must play a defined role – Infact, it is

interesting to observe the multiple

roles people end up taking: some end

up leading, contributing and some

others are completely aloof. But,

overlap due to lack of trust will most

likely produce a sub-optimal result.

Application: In paintball - it's

important that no team member does

something beyond the plan - your

team might end up with a single

fighter trying to fend off an army of

enemies. Trust - as they say - starts

with the minute the whistle is blown.

A COMMON GOAL

Alignment on goal is a bedrock of

teamwork. No team can succeed

unless all its members are aligned on

the end-objective of an exercise. They

may have different approaches - and a

healthy, constructive debate on

strategy is usually preferred - but the

end-goal must be the same.

Application: In paintball - the end goal

may vary from elimination of the other

team to capturing and planting a flag

in the enemy bunker.
