LITURGY CORNER Divine Mercy The period from Easter Sunday through Divine Mercy Sunday (the Second Sunday of Easter) also known as the Octave (or eighth day) of Easter, is an especially joyful time. When celebrating Divine Mercy Sunday, the faithful are called to reflect more personally on the graces won through the life, death, and Resurrection of Jesus Christ. But the Easter season doesn't end there: Because Easter is the most important feast in the Christian calendar—even more important than Christmas—the Easter season continues on for 50 days, through the Ascension of Our Lord to Pentecost Sunday. So keep on celebrating and wishing your friends a happy Easter!

Thank you to all who participated in leading the weekly Stations of the Cross during Lent at both St. Philip Neri and at St. Albert the Great. Your voices added a richness to this beautiful devo-tion and our prayer community was enhanced by your presence. Knights of Columbus, Liturgy Committee, Youth, CFF, Legion of Mary, Boy Scouts and all other participants. Thank you also to those who participated in our Holy Week services and to those who devoted their time to decorate our churches for Easter. Most especially, thank you Fr. Robert and Fr. Anthony for leading and guiding our parishion-ers through this journey of Lent.

Jesse Manibusan is coming back to St. Philip Neri for another concert for our parish. The concert will coincide with the Confirmation Class Adoration in

SPN Church at 6:30pm on Friday, May 19th. Accom-panying Jesse will be Grammy Award winner Sarah

Hart.

This will be a great concert for the entire parish and something special for our Confirmation Class of

2017. To keep having concerts like this at St. Philip Neri, we kindly ask for donations at the door.

No tickets will be sold for this event and space is limited. So come experience the Holy Spirit, listen to

some great music, and help our kids move on to Confirmation.
