Announcements
Heck-Jones Offering - Today is the last day to make your Heck-Jones offering. Offering envelopes can be found in your bulletin today.
Upward - Awards night is Tuesday, February 28th. Backpack Buddies - KBC has started a “Backpack Buddies” ministry at Knightdale Elementary School. We provide a plastic bag filled with food items to help get a hungry child through the weekend who might not otherwise get a meal until they return to school again on Monday morning. Please help us with this ministry by contributing food items to help a hungry child in our town. Large, clear plastic bins are located in the Vestibule, Education Bldg., Fellowship Hall and outside the elevator in the Family Life Center to place your food donations. Grocery Items Needed: granola bars; macaroni and cheese (easy mac or boxed); applesauce; cans of corn, green beans, peas, and carrots; Pop-Tarts; individual boxes of cereal (one serving size); peanut butter; jelly; canned fruits; boxed pasta; plastic jars of pasta sauce; canned pasta like Chef Boyardee or Spaghettios. Please no glass containers due to the possibility of breakage. Plastic Bags Needed: We are also collecting plastic bags for delivering the food that will be put into their backpacks. Please donate your untorn plastic bags for this purpose. You will find green plastic bins located next to the food bins to place your donated plastic bags. For those of you who use coupons, there are pink plastic boxes in many S.S. classes that can store your collected coupons for placement into a black and white “Master Coupon Box” located in the Education Building. These coupons can be used by anyone for purchasing items for the “Backpack Buddies” program. Thank you! Properties Meeting - Thursday, March 1st at 7:00 pm in the Conference Room. Build A Bird Feeder - The Mission/Ministry Team will hold a build a bird feeder event on Saturday, March 3rd from 10:00 am - 5:00 pm. This is for everyone! So if you have some spare time come help us spread a little cheer to our loved ones at Wellington and build them a bird feeder. Also, if you have a change in the schedule for the children’s nursery or children’s church, please contact the monthly coordinator so that the change can be made prior to the printing of the worship bulletin.
