HOW DO I BECOME A MEMBER?

1. Present yourself for membership during any worship service

when the invitation is given.

• Profession of faith and believer’s baptism by immersion: If you

have never received Jesus as Savior and Lord and/or never

publicly confessed Him, you will be given the opportunity to

do so.

• Transfer membership from another Southern Baptist Church.

3. Attend West Conroe Membership Class This happens on the first

Sunday of every month at 9:30am in HomePointe. You will hear

Update on the Teague Family

West Conroe voted unanimously in both services last week to call

Josh Teague as our Minister of Worship Arts. Pray for Josh and Jennifer

as he will be resigning at FBC Lavaca today and beginning the

process of moving his family here. Their first day at WCBC will be

July 1. I am so grateful for the work of our Search Team and for your

overwhelming confirmation of what we believed to be God’s leading

in this search.

Prayer for Healing Service This Evening

There will be a prayer meeting to pray for healing at 6pm in Building

11 on Hilltop. I am flying out this afternoon for the Southern Baptist

Convention. Cary Smith will be leading.

Vacation Bible School

VBS starts tomorrow, June 9-13, 9-noon each day. If you have a

child, grandchild, or neighborhood friend, age 4 (by June 1) through

6th grade, you need to bring them to VBS. “Weird Animals” will teach

us that we are each special in God’s sight and were made especially

and specifically by Him! Registration is now open on the website or in

the Children’s area or Church Office. IT’S FREE!

Over 100 have registered already. We are praying for 300 to be

involved in Cross Conroe. Sign up today!

Cross Conroe Prep

There are no Wednesday night activities this week because of VBS,

but beginning next Wednesday for 5 weeks we will be having a

preparation class at 6:30 for everyone in Cross Conroe. We will meet

in the Garden Room if space allows. This study is crucial as it will

prepare us spiritually and functionally for the work we will do. Even if

you can’t be involved in Cross Conroe, this will be an excellent

discipleship course.

We celebrate Brett’s 1st anniversary today as Student and College

Ministry Associate. Brett is a valuable asset on our staff and to our

church body as a whole. Mackey is a joy and delight with her sweet

spirit and a tremendous blessing to the girls in our student and college

ministries. Thank you guys for your faithful and fruitful ministry!

ADULT MINISTRY

• CHRISTIAN SINGLES IMPACT Saturday, June 14 at 4pm in

the Main house at Hilltop. Devotion: “Prayer at All Times

• ASTROS GAME with the Detroit Tigers. Saturday, June 28

from 2:00 to 6:00pm. We will meet at the church at

2:00pm & leave on the bus. Tickets are $12 per person,

ticket, transportation, & childcare. Only 50 spots are

STUDENT MINISTRY

• YOUTH CAMP is just around the corner, but it's not too

late to sign up! If you finished 6th-12th grade this year,

this is the camp for you...don't miss out! The theme is

LIMITLESS. The dates are July 6th-11th. The cost is now

$280. Applications can be found in the worship center

foyer, the student building, & the main office. Sign up

quickly & get ready to see how God moves this

summer! As always, please feel free to contact Sean or

Brett in the church office for more info.

• BOWLING We will be going to 300 Bowl on Thursday,

June 12th from 2-4pm. The cost is $10 per person.

MUSIC MINISTRY

• SUMMER BREAK The choir will be taking a break for the

month of June. There will be no choirs in the loft on

Sundays & Wednesday night rehearsals are dismissed.

we welcome Josh to WCBC!
