- Latest updates

plan; the software has been bought, the new computers are being finalised and we are beginning testing.

Meanwhile we are working to select a new point-of-sale and bookstore sys-tem for the Logos Hope to replace a rather aged pre-Windows system that has served longer than it should have!

Stories are coming in daily that encourage us that the work we are doing is effective in the Kingdom of God. Hope you like this from Burma (our hearts are full!)

One afternoon recently, a local Christian woman approached a worker in the English school. "Pray for me!" she said. "There are two students in your class who want to know how to become believers. I'm going to share with them." A few hours later, this woman was smil-ing, eyes sparkling. "They joined the Family," she exclaimed. Still a fairly new believer herself, she was be-side herself with joy. "I shared Jesus for the first time!"

As we work with OM Ships International we want to see that ‘the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the sea.’ (Habakkuk 2:14).

One of the ways we are working to-wards this is to ensure the distribution of Bibles and Christian books to places where it would otherwise be difficult to distribute them in quantity.

David’s role as Director of IT is to ensure that systems are in place to allow OM to donate, sell and distribute £millions of books where they are needed.

When Logos Hope left Liberia it set sail for Libya and is going to Egypt and Lebanon. After Christmas, it will sail through the Suez Canal and continue its

voyage through the Arab world then on to India, Sri Lanka and the far East.

Recently OM has begun to distribute significant quantities of Bibles and Christian literature through the Web, so David and his team have been involved in selecting computer sys-tems to be installed in Florence SC (USA) to ensure better distribution channels and response to orders.

on DVD!

In November I will probably be given the opportunity to record the ‘Real Women’ course as the technical team from OM have interviewed me with a view to recording the whole 30-week course which studies a different woman from the Bible every week.

They want to make it into a DVD pack-age with all the handout homework as well as the leaders instructions, encouragers, and invitations so that anyone can buy it and start a new JfL Group. They have already allocated this to a film maker and a graphic designer. They are willing to produce it, sell it and work on updating my web site. I will keep you informed ……..

Please pray for us as we negotiate a contract for this.

Joy for Life on the Logos Hope

I am still in touch with the Logos Hope and am sure there will be opportuni-

A new Joy for Life group has started in Carlisle with 30 ladies meeting on Wednesday evenings. The Course is a ‘taster’ held in Carlisle Christian Fellowship to assess the demand for the establishment of a full Course after Christmas.

Judging from the response so far, I believe that there will be an increased desire for this type of study as many more women hear of the excitement generated so far.

Please pray for me as I work with a new team of ladies. There is so much for them all to learn and prepare including PowerPoint presentations, music, group leading and hospitality.

Please also pray for those attending on Wednesday evenings, some of whom have never studied the Bible and for whom love and forgiveness are new and challenging subjects.

Best News We are approaching UCB about advertising Best News on the Radio and Television. Please pray for that.

We have had some exceptionally good comments from some of those that have installed Best News including one couple who have said that they have to ration themselves to using Best News to just an hour a day otherwise they would spend hours investigating the Bible.

Christmas Presents

Best News would be a really good Christmas present for your friends and family. Go to the website and buy some copies today — http://www.bestnews.org.uk

ties to do ‘Joy for Life’ on the ship when they are on a voyage between ports.

I am really excited about that as now I can see that if girls can get on a firm foundation with Jesus when they are between the ages of 18-23 yrs so many problems could be prevented.

All of this certainly was beyond my imagination when I came kicking and screaming to Carlisle!

New Course - Revelation

I started writing a Bible Study Course for ‘Joy for Life’ on the book of Revelation. I am thankful that David has gone before so I can share his valuable information!

It is takes about two days each week to write and a group in Hampshire is going through the study (piloting it for me!) every week. They are really enjoying it. It focuses on Jesus as the triumphant King.
