So Thankful for You, Jesus!!!

Parenting Tip Dont believe the lie of the enemy that your prayers arent working when you see your child going in wrong direction the best line of DEFENSE is PRAYER!

Besides, if your prayers are not effective & not availing much, why is the enemy trying so hard to get you to stop praying for them?

Mommy Moments Are we making pancakes . . . or making memories?

Both!!! Every moment we spend with our children is an opportunity to sow a seed and make a memory in regards to the seed sown. I could have made pancakes alone this fine morning . . . and honestly, it would have been a whole lot faster and a lot less messy, I assure you! But then I would have missed the following:

Time to share in my childrens smiles and laughter; an opportunity to boost their self- esteems about the value that they add to this family that their input is wanted and needed; the chance to teach them team work and work ethics; the responsibility of serving and not just waiting to be served; and character traits like sharing and taking turns! Thats a lot of teaching in a short period of time!

Someone once said that a mind is a terrible thing to waste. Another terrible thing to waste is a teachable moment! These moments present themselves to us constantly throughout the day as we interact with our children. Its our choice if we choose to utilize them or ignore them. Ask God for eyes to see, know, and recognize the teachable moments that He blesses you with each day, and the willing heart to utilize them in Jesus name!

Childrens Spotlight Catching Up w/ Katrina (Walker) Hilliard

Katrina graduated from Berry College in 2008 with a BS degree in Mathematics and a minor in Secondary Education. She married her high school sweetheart, Mark, during her senior year of college. She and Mark currently reside in Kennesaw, GA. Katrina teaches Algebra 2, Pre-Calculus, and Calculus at Cornerstone Prep Academy in Acworth. She thoroughly enjoys her students and they keep her laughing. Mark is the Worship Pastor at Liberty Church in Marietta. He leads worship for 7 services each weekend. Katrina and Mark enjoy mentoring any and all teens and young adults that cross their paths.

Dear Brothers & Sisters in Christ,

I pray that you have been peacefully basking in His Presence, that you are being changed from glory to glory! He likes that. It brings Him great pleasure! The more we are in His Presence the more we can hear His still small voice. And He is so eager to download revelation to us.

Zechariah 4:6 says, Not by might, nor by power, but by My Spirit. . . says the Lord.

Ive known that (as head knowledge) for a long time that Holy Spirit empowers us. But recently Jesus took that revelation to an entirely other level. Its so simple, yet profound!

Philippians 4:13 says, I can do all things through Christ, who freely gives me His Spirit Holy Spirit.

MORE FROM MY HEART So, whatever I do, It is . . .

Not by [Bonnies] might, nor by [Bonnies] power, but by My [Gods] Spirit. . . says the Lord. [Bonnies paraphrase]

The things that Jesus wants to do through me are limitless, because His Holy Spirit empowers me. He supplies everything I need (Phil.4:19) to do whatever He wants me to accomplish because He is not restricted or limited by my age, my circumstances, my natural ability or strength! He supersedes all of those things! Because Holy Spirit is limitless in ALL dimensions, so is His Power!

We just have to recognize it and totally depend on Him, recognizing our need and His willingness to supply. Its kind of like four-year-old Olivia. The other day she asked, Whatcha doing? My reply, Talking to Jesus! After looking to my left and then to my right she replied, Jesus is not here. I exclaimed, Oh, yes He is!

Because she couldnt see Jesus in the natural, she assumed He wasnt there. Just because we cant see Him doesnt make it any less true that He really is with us. He promised Hell never leave us nor forsake us (Hebrews 13:5).

Living life is like pulling a wagon up hill. Holy Spirit sees the effort, all the strain, and He longs to help. Hes just waiting for us to ask. Hes just standing there with all His limitless resources hoping we will cry out to Him for help. But so many times too many times like little Olivia we are unaware of His Presence, much less His desire to help.

Lets Pray: Forgive us, Holy Spirit, for being so full of pride that we dont ask You for help until we are desperate at the end of ourselves. Make us more aware of Your Presence and more humbly aware of Your willingness to help, in Jesus name!

Comedy Corner Billy was kissing me bye. 4-yr-old Olivia laughs and says,

Oooo, somebody is in love. Youre two lovebirds, and Im a baby lovebird!

She giggled her silly giggles for the longest time!
