Task 1 Types of Business P1. Describe the type of business, purpose and ownership of two contrasting organisations. Scenario: You are a trainee business consultant working for a firm that has been contacted by Samira, a prospective businesswoman who is thinking of setting up a business. Samira is not sure about the legal ownership and activities of businesses generally. Samiras rationale is she feels she needs to know and understand how some local, national international businesses operate. You should research two organisations, one in the private sector which trades in the UK and overseas and the other in the public sector. (Tesco and the RSPCA) The submission date set is the deadline for you to meet with Samira and present your findings. In a report format (Use the format provided below and the subheadings.) 1.0 INTRODUCTION Write a brief introduction of each organisation explaining what it does. Include a map extract of the location or a photograph of the organisation.

D1 Task: For one of the organisations that you have chosen, you need to evaluate the influence that stakeholders have over the decisions made by the organisation. Evaluate means that you should explain how it affects the organisation both positively and negatively, how the organisation could react to the influence, and what the consequences of their actions might be. You should also have a concluding paragraph to sum up the overall effect on the business and the main way you think that the business should react, with your justification.
