Header Item and Components must be created in Item Maintenance BEFORE the assembly item can be created.

Print Incomplete Assembly on PO Form
ON: Production Order prints as long as any of the components of a particular item is partially allocated to that assembly OFF: Production Order prints as long as there are enough components available to create one assembly

The ‘Allow Disassembly’ option is only available for assemblies.

ON: Components on an assembly can be returned to stock without having to perform Inventory AdjustmentsOFF: Components on assemblies that are returned to stock have to be returned via Inventory Adjustments

If adding Labor on the fly make sure to check “Allow Adding Components in Transaction Windows”

You will need to setup an Applied Overhead general ledger account in Company Maintenance

Created during Order Entry User must have permissions Once created on the fly in Order Entry, a record is created in Assembly MaintenanceOptions are defaulted from the System SettingsSystem Setting – Use Production Order Processing

Enter the Header Item.
NOTE: the Item cannot already exist in database!
