1. Planning includes handoff from Activantsales to the Activant implementationteam, the pre-install planning meeting,the creation of the project plan and theproject launch.

3. Validation is performed through a testgo-live or “dry run,” review of businessprocesses and additional user training.

When it comes to data conversion, you’re not on your own. Many technology vendors don’t
offer data conversion services, leaving you the daunting task of keying-in critical information
or pre-formatting your data to the new system necessary to successfully operate your business.
That’s not the case with Activant. We offer comprehensive, accurate data conversions,
regardless of size or complexity. With our vast amount of experience, we can help ensure the
full success of the conversion process.
Data conversion services are available during both weekdays and weekends. Throughout
your implementation, our specially trained data-conversion team will employ a proven
methodology to test and transfer business data. We can also work with you to identify other
ways of accelerating the data-loading phase of the implementation.
For Eagle implementations, we can also supply customers with Fast Start tapes to load their
initial inventory and Scan Start tapes to reconcile their UPC barcodes with manufacturer
SKU data. Later, they can use a Fast Change tape for a quick inventory update.

THE NEXT STEP: ONGOING TRAINING
Once you’ve mastered the basics of your Activant system and have been online for awhile,
we can help you take the next step in improving efficiency, updating skills and training new
employees. An Activant Implementation and Consulting Service Specialist will assist you in
designing a comprehensive plan for ongoing training.
You can train new employees as much or as often as you like. At the same time, your
Activant Implementation or Consulting Service Specialist can show you or your employees
how to use any of our advanced application programs that you have purchased.
Another way Eagle users can take advantage of Activant’s self-paced learning opportunities
is through two interactive tutorials, also available on CD-ROM.
Advanced Purchasing: Streamlining Your Ordering Process Using Order Points and Suggested
Order helps users answer such questions as why something is ordered, how to determine
weeks of supply and calculate order points, and what rules the system uses when creating a
suggested order.
The other tutorial, Physical Inventory: Maintaining an Accurate Inventory and the Counting
& Posting Process, calms the fears that the mere thought of conducting a physical inventory
can evoke by providing users with the information and tools they need to start their own
physical inventory process off on the right foot.
Both CDs utilize a multimedia approach combining graphics and audio with interactive
exercises. Each instructional topic culminates in a quiz to help the learner assess his or her
own understanding of the material. Also available are Job Aids and a glossary for additional
support and information.
Perhaps the most unique feature of each CD is the section titled "Learn from Experience."
Here users can view videos of interviews conducted with several Eagle system users as they
share their expertise about advanced purchasing and the physical inventory process.

For ongoing training, Eagle users can learn at their own pace with built-in browser training,
The Eagle Training Browser is a CD that contains a wealth of information in a variety of
formats-videos, documents that you can view online or print, interactive guided practice
simulations and quick links to the Eagle Customer Web site and the Web Conference
Center. The Training Browser CD can be installed on any PC running Eagle for Windows
software.
With the Eagle Training Browser, trainees can test their knowledge with regular reviews and
quizzes. More experienced users can sharpen their skills with advanced instruction and
documentation. As an added benefit, managers can track the performance for each user to
better understand the specific capabilities and training needs of staff members. Topics
include system operations and certification, management skills, accounting and financial
operations, and other areas.

Fulfillment Services
Our mail-in options are a fast, cost-effective alternative to on-site repairs. Customers simply
ship the component or subassembly part to us. A staff of over 50 technicians and specialists
will repair or exchange the part for a new one. All parts are tested to factory standards. We
are an authorized service center for Symbol, Okidata, Epson and other major OEMs.
The Fulfillment Center boasts a 99% fill rate. We offer Depot Express overnight forward
