Borsa Italiana was established in 1998, after the privatizationof Stock Exchange markets, and deals with management andfunctioning of financial markets. Particularly, it manages theItalian financial market, is the ninth most ancient StockExchange worldwide and the sixteenth in order of importance.In 2007 the integration between Gruppo Borsa Italiana and theLondon Stock Exchange group became effective.

The ELITE Project, started by Borsa Italiana in 2012, is aninnovative services platform dedicated to Italian small andmedium-sized businesses (PMI).Elite allows PMIs to compete with the best internationalmodels and practices and to get in touch with a community ofexcellence to make the most of all the possible businessmatching opportunities.
