Recent DevelopmentsThe West Australian is currently in the final stages of its press upgrade,

the construction process of over 2 years is coming to an end with a re-

launch of The West Australian scheduled for early in the 2007/08 financial

year.

Along with the new presses we will launch a second inserted colour

magazine every Saturday to complement the highly successful television

and entertainment magazine, The West Magazine.

In October 2006, The West Australian re-launched www.thewest.com.au,

the site, now updated throughout the day with the latest news across all

major categories is Australia’s fastest growing news website over the

past 10 months with total users growing from 40,000 to over 400,000 and

page impressions growing from 100,000 to 5,600,000 since July 2006.
