Why Digital Storytelling?• “… short, personal multimedia tales told from the

by people everywhere, on any subject, and shared electronically all over the world.

Your Project• You and your partner will choose a current or
historical event and tell the story of that event as if you were there (1st person narrative).
• Research• Write the story• Download the graphics• Put it all together using PhotoStory3 storytelling
software– narration– Music– pictures
Content
• Tells someone’s story or an event’s story
• Told from the perspective of the person telling the story– The inventor– Someone at the event
• NOT a report; this is their STORY
Length
• You only have 1 to 2 written pages and 3+ total minutes to tell their story – But a lot of other work goes into this!
• Succinct and to the point• Pictures display a tone, feeling, and
communicate beyond what you are saying
