AUGUST 20, 2017

We would like to take this opportunity to

welcome The Meroy Family as new members

of St. Damien of Molokai Parish.

As a parish, we hope to meet all their spiritual

needs and also take this time to extend an

invitation to join in the various social events

and ministries held at both St. Joseph Church

and St. Gabriel Church.

If you have visited the parish hall at Saint Gabriel

Church recently, you will notice that the sound

absorbing panels have been transformed into

something very pleasing to the eye. We were blessed

to have a company donate them to us, but the color

scheme of green and turquoise did not blend in well.

We have had some very busy volunteers who have

recovered the panels. I am indebted to them for their time and

patience. This was a sizeable project, but one that will grace the

walls of the hall for years to come.

We would also like to extend our thankfulness and appreciation

for the following, for their time, talent and materials donated for

the renovation of our parish hall: Wayne Silva of Sil/Carr

Corporation for building new handicap ramps and steps, Michael

Regan of RTC Construction for donating his time and employees

in the demolition phase & Dennis LaRose of Atlas Metal Works,

LLC for the beautiful railings he donated on the handicap ramps.

In a separate note, we welcome Jonathan Wyse to our staff as a part-time Communications Coordinator. Jonathan has been busy

working on the upcoming photo directory. He will also be

involved with the website, the ministry scheduler system and

other projects as we move forward. Welcome, Jonathan!

Sincerely in Christ,

Rev. John P. Melnick
