During anointed times of praise and worship led by George Collins, Andrew Dougall and David Seel, the men attending were taken into a fresh, wonderful experience of the Holy Spirit who encouraged, di-rected and challenged all, through the praise and the proclamation of the word of the Lord.

Delegates listen to testimony

Several men shared testimony of how their lives had been changed for evermore by the power of the Lord Jesus Christ. Many told how they came from bondage to free-dom, from empty futility to lives now busting with love, joy and meaningfulness. The teaching on growth delivered by Steven Turnbull and David Walker was exceptionally good and Allan Jones’ accounts of how BMF is being used worldwide to bring hundreds and thousands of

people to faith in Jesus was as-tounding! God blessed the proceed-ings further with the presence of great men of faith and practical ex-perience, John Harrison from USA and Saved Sevedson from Sweden. Awesome powerful anointing of the Lord was evident as both men ministered and many dele-gates in the meetings were healed, challenged and equipped to serve more fruitfully in the power of the Holy Spirit. pervaded the place as men from many countries enjoyed delicious food and deep fellowship with each other. Growth was the purpose of the conference and growth was evi-dent as a number of delegates signed up to join BMF and a new chapter was established to work in Ayrshire. Significant growth in the Kingdom will be the outcome of this marvellous BMF Conference as those who attended make an im-pact for Christ in the marketplace

Bob Mathie ministered the word in song, and led the diners in praise and worship before the throne of grace with some well known choruses.

Allan Jones introduced our speaker, John Har-rison, from our twinned Chapter in Yuba City, California, USA, who is here with his wife, Florence. John said, “Halleluiah! It’s great to be home. We missed the Wigan fellowship!”

“I was a 38year old man before I came to Christ. Our family went to church, but it was just a place to see our friends. None of us knew the Lord. But, Jesus changed my life. I heard that God had a plan, and that my name was on the plan. I have been a businessman all my life, and, as such, ‘we have plans.’ Then, I heard that Jesus had a plan, and I let go of my plans. My Father and his family were involved in the business of making or selling Ice Cream. It was there that I learned the Trade. I am a 4th generation Ice Cream taste tester, eventually working with Nestlé for 31 years, until I retired on 31st De-cember, last year. I am a National Ambassador of BMF in the USA. One Sunday morning, 31 years ago, I sat on the back row seat of a small Pen-tecostal church in Santa Barbara, California, by the exit – ready to bolt if I saw something I had never seen before!

That Sunday morning, I don’t know what the Preacher talked on, but I was sick and tired of being sick and tired of my lies, my cheating and my scams. He must have preached on the Prodigal son be-cause when the appeal came, I saw my hand up in the air. I thought to myself, ‘Oh, man, what’s that doing up there? I don’t volunteer.’ As I looked up at my hand, with tears running down my face, I drew a line on my sin, and said, ‘God, I’m not crossing back over to that old world of mine. I’m staying over here with

you.’ As I said that, I saw a vision as clear as I am seeing you, of an arm lock around Jesus. He means every-thing to me. I’m sold, not by de-grees, but a hundred percent. One time, I was riding in a car going down the Tioga Pass Road in the Yosemite State Park, when I heard gravel scraping the bottom of the car.

As I opened my eyes, we were airborne! The car bounced off several trees until we finally stopped. I was transported by am-bulance to Hospital with my back broken in four places, and several broken ribs. The surgeon wouldn’t operate until the swelling had gone down. 30 or 40 BMF men came and prayed for me, along with my Church Pastor and friends. I said that God wanted to heal me. God said, ‘What did you expect of me. Get off the drugs, its blocking your healing.’ The Orthopaedic surgeon came in to see me the next morning after running a bone scan. He said, to me, ‘John, rise up, and go home. You have been healed!’ After three months in a Spirit-filled church, I wanted the gifts too. At a Men’s camp, as I was worshipping the Lord, a foreign phrase came out of my mouth. I said, ‘Thank you, Lord!’ The next morning, as I knelt by my bed, a language I had never learned flowed out like a river. Since then, I have led hundreds into the Baptism of the Holy Spirit. Our God loves to heal and to restore.

August, 52 attending For the sixteen people who re-sponded to the salvation call at the Anyksciai(Lithuania) Outreach on Tuesday 16th August, 60 present For the seventy men who responded to the Salvation call at the Gikam-bura (Kenya) Outreach on Saturday 27th August, 100 attending For the three people who accepted Jesus as their Saviour at the Kaunas (Lithuania) Outreach on Saturday 27th August, 75 present For the two hundred men who re-ceived Jesus as their Lord and Sav-iour at the Limuru (Kenya) Sports Outreach on Sunday 28th August, about 700 present. The 6 soccer teams included Muslims and Catho-lics. A BMF Chapter has started there…outreaches are planned for each month, starting next month
