PROFILE OF RASHMI SHETTY

An ICF credentialed PCC (Professional Certified Coach), Rashmi Shetty is a Certified Professional Behavioral Analyst (CPBA), Certified Professional Values Analyst (CPVA),PTSI /Trimetrix Certified from Turning Point Training & Assessment Systems accredited to TTI Performance Systems Ltd., Phoenix, Arizona, USA. Further she is a certified Practitioner of Neuro linguistic Programming (NLP) from ISTD Bangalore chapter & has completed Level 1 of Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT). She has also completed TA- 101 certification. Her experience in the area of teaching after she cleared the U.G.C, N.E.T exams in Chennai, in 1992,after her P.G, built her base in teaching & communicating to a class of students & retain their attention. When she relocated to Bangalore in 1993, she moved into Sales with the Hospitality industry. It was here she learnt to think on her feet & accept negation as gracefully & convincing new clients to become loyal users of the property of ITDC’s Ashok hotels. As a project director for about 2 years, with CICOPA - an internationally funded project of The International Cooperative Alliance – apart from co-operative societies it was self - help groups that she helped form, that motivated her to see women as emerging leaders if given an opportunity. Personally this is where the interest to coach women to find the power within grew. A conscious break for motherhood kept her busy till she joined Time Warner as a book advisor for about twoyears. Meeting parents & speaking to them about the power of reading books was how she honed her skill as a parent & continued her career in sales.

   

 

With a certification in NLP her first stint with Self Awareness happened. Her career in Radio too started simultaneously in 2004…A shift to Chennai made her take up the job of a storyteller. Her stint here with KATHA was where she learnt the art of telling stories arrestingly with actions & modulation, learning the important lesson that, as adults we lose touch with the child within & therefore stop being effective communicators. Then on she moved into corporate training. Soft skills & communication being her forte, the transition happened with simultaneous certifications as well. The live chat shows on Radio taught her anchoring skills & the power of presentation, time management, stress management & the importance of holding the interest of the listeners with the power of a voice alone with no visuals. Doing both simultaneously, communicating both verbally and nonverbally was something she learnt on the job. Over these years in different industries, training, facilitation & coaching, she has facilitated a wide area of soft skills including: communication skills, presentation skills, oral & written skills, marketing & selling skills, email etiquette, Interpersonal communication, Personal effectiveness, business communication, customer satisfaction, Time management, stress management, team building & team effectiveness, assertive communication, cross cultural communication, business etiquette & transition from campus to corporate life. A professional emcee for musical shows, a moderator for panel discussions, she also does voiceovers for many corporate films and advertisements.
