Volunteer Experience

I am apart of a non profit organization that cleans and maintains the Machichanee Forest trails. Every other month we go out there with fourwheelers, brush cutters, weed wackers and a group of people to clean up the trails. We are called the Outback Riders Inc.

My Mentor, My Grandpa

My mentor is my Grandpa. He is the most hardworking, caring man I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. He has been in the Vietnam War and the Korean War. He was Huey pilot, been shot, crashed a helicopter, raised a family of 7, lived in almost every state plus three other countries. He is the most supportive man when it comes to education. That was his only wish for all of his grandchildren. He is in stage four kidney failure and with all of the dialysis, he is very close to just giving up. He’s staying strong for my grandma, but I can see him struggling. He is the last person on earth who deserves this, he is an amazing man.
