All Dragon Boat Club Teams in the Philippines

Dear Fellow Dragon Boaters,

On behalf of the TRITON DRAGON BOAT RACING TEAM, all dragon boat club crews in the Philippines arecordially invited to participate in the 1st TRITON - PCL DRAGON BOAT CUP, to be held in Baywalk, RoxasBoulevard, Manila on July 1, 2017.

The 1st TRITON - PCL DRAGON BOAT CUP will be organized solely and independently by the Triton Dragon BoatRacing Team. TRITON partners with the Philippine Collegiate League (PCL) for our combined dragon boatevents with TRITON focusing on the club teams in the Philippines, while PCL for the school/collegiate dragon boatteams..The 1st TRITON – PCL DRAGON BOAT CUP will consist of the following competition and classes:

For TRITON Events— SMALL BOAT 250meter – WOMEN event (1 Drummer, 1 Steersman, 10 Paddlers, 2 Reserves) SMALL BOAT 250m – OPEN event (1 Drummer, 1 Steersman, 10 Paddlers, 2 Reserves) SMALL BOAT 250m – MIXED* event (1 Drummer, 1 Steersman, 10 Paddlers, 2 Reserves)

*Crew composition: Minimum 4, maximum 6 female paddlers STANDARD BOAT 250m – MIXED* event (1 Drummer, 1 Steersman, 20 Paddlers, 4 Reserves)

*Crew composition: Minimum 10, maximum 12 female paddlers

Enclosed in this invitation is the Information Bulletin 1 together with the race forms, deadlines and details of therace fees of the TRITON events. by 11 June 2017.

TRITON DRAGON BOAT RACING TEAM planned and prepared for this event for our 8th year anniversary,scheduled exactly on our anniversary date – 1 July 2017, to be able to give back to the sport that broughtTRITONes together, and serve our fellow paddlers and the dragon boat community with a dragon boat racefocused on the essence of sportsmanship and fellowship. Also, part of the proceeds of our race will be used for acharity activity to help the abused kids and orphans at CRIBS set on July 2, 2017.

TRITON DRAGON BOAT RACING TEAM will greatly appreciate fellow paddlers and club crew support andparticipation to our dragon boat event for a cause.

INFORMATION BULLETIN 1(For TRITON Events)

DATE 1 July 2017 (Saturday), 0600H -1600H

LOCATION Baywalk, Roxas Boulevard, Manila

RACE COURSE The race course and technical facilities are of IDBF standards in 250 meters and 500meters with four (4) racing lanes, with a width of 9m and minimum depth of 3.5m

BOATS AND EQUIPMENT At least four (4) Champion racing boats will be provided by the organizers.Competing crews are expected to bring their own paddles that conform to the IDBF Paddle Specification 202a.There will be photofinish equipment in place.

COMPETITION AND RACE CLASSES Races will be held in the following racing classes:Women 250m (Small Boat) - 1 Drummer, 1 Steersman, 10 Paddlers, 2 Reserves

Open 250m (Small Boat) - 1 Drummer, 1 Steersman, 10 Paddlers, 2 Reserves

* Mixed 250m (Small Boat) - 1 Drummer, 1 Steersman, 10 Paddlers, 2 Reserves


* Mixed 250m (Standard Boat) - 1 Drummer, 1 Steersman, 20 Paddlers, 4 Reserves


PERSONAL SAFETY All Crew Members must be water-confident and ideally be able toswim at least 50 meters. And to ensure safety throughout the race, all crew MUST wear personalflotation aids. Crews compete entirely at their own risk and must be ‘Fit to Race’.


RULES AND REGULATIONS The 1st TRITON-PCL Dragon Boat Cup will be conducted and guided by theIDBF Competition Regulations and Rules of Racing.
