Na n o t ec h no l og y :Research and technology development at

the atomic, molecular and macromolecular levels in the lengthscale of approximately 1 -100 nanometer range, to provide afundamental understanding of phenomena and materials at the

nanoscale and to create and use structures, devices and systemsthat have novel properties and functions because of their smalland/or intermediate size.

    Na no Rob ot :

It that can be created with existingtechnology , that can be used to seek out and destroy inimicaltissue within the human body that cannot be accessed by othermeans.

Gi s t o f Na n o me di c in e :The most advanced nanomedicine involves the use of

    Nanorobotsas miniaturesurgeons.

    In t r o du c e t h e d e v i c e i n t o t h e b o dy :

    The first is that thesize

of the nanomachine determines theminimum size of the blood vessel that it can traverse.

The second consideration is we have to get it into the body without

being too destructive in the first place.

    circulatory system

    femoral artery

Femoral artery is in fact the normal access point to thecirculatory system for operations that require access tothe bloodstream for catheters, dye injections, etc., so it willsuit our purposes.

    1.Chemical:

    2.Spectroscopic:

    3.TV camera

Chemical sensors can be used to detect tracechemicals in the bloodstream and use the relative concentrationsof those chemicals to determine the path to take to reach theunwanted tissue

The laser diode is more practical due to thedifficulty of striking an arc in a liquid medium and alsodue to the side effects possible when sampling nearnerve tissue

:It involves us having a TV camera in the devic

and transmitting its picture outside the body to a remotcontrol station, allowing the people operating the device t

    steer it.

    Me a n s o f t r e a t me nt :Treatment means we must remove the unwanted

tissue or substance from the body. This can be done in of several ways1.Physical removal:2.Physical trauma

    Po w e r t o Na noRo b ot s:

    a. Physical connection:In this we would need some sort of wire or cable to

carry power between the microrobert and the outside power source

    b. No physical connection:In this we transmit power with out the use of wires or

any sort of physical means to transfer the power

By using ultra sonic and induced magnetic

In this case, the power would be transmitted to the microrobot fromoutside the body. This can be done in a number of different ways,

but it boils down to two possibilities.

The first is to transmit the power by means of a physical

    connection,

The second, of course, is to transmit it without a physical

    connection.

    Co n c l u s i o N:

A nanostructured data storage device about the size of a human liver cellimplanted in the brain could store a large amount of data and provides

extremely rapid access to this information.

But perhaps the most important long-term benefit to human society as awhole could be the dawning of a new era of peace. We could hope that

people who are independently well fed, well-clothed, well-housed, smart, welleducated, healthy and happy will have litt le motivation to make war. Human

beings who have a reasonable prospect of living many "normal" lifetimes will

learn patience from experience, and will be extremely unlikely to risk those"many lifetimes

for any but the most compelling of reasons.
