CREDENTIALS: Credentials become available on Monday, January 2 at the Omni Mandalay media headquarters. For Media Day on Sunday, January 1, credentials may be obtained at the Employee Entrance lo- cated at Entry E on the south side of Cowboys Stadium. Individuals may claim all credentials issued to his/her media organization. However, party invitations and souvenirs must be picked up individually. Lost or misplaced credentials will not be replaced. All media credentials remain the property of the Cotton Bowl Athletic Association and must be sur- rendered upon request. MEDIA CREDENTIALS WORKING MEDIA AREAS: Working areas for print and broadcast media are located at Star Level on the north side of Cowboys Stadium. The photographer workroom is situated at Field Level near the entrance to the East End Zone. The video workroom is located near the West End Zone. The entrance for the Main Press Box is located between Entry J and K on the northwest side of the stadium. Photographers and radio network personnel should access the stadium at Entry B, located at the northeast corner. Broadcast media parking in Lot 7 will access Entry F on the southwest side of the stadium. MEDIA ENTRANCE - ENTRY J & K: Once entering the stadium at Entry J and K, media representatives should walk towards the main concourse and turn left prior to the Mezzanine Level stairs to reach the elevators. The Press Box entrance is on Star Level and to the left after exiting the elevator. Media also may choose to access the press box through the photographer/radio network entrance at Entry B. PHOTOGRAPHER/RADIO ENTRANCE - ENTRY B: All working photogra- phers and radio network personnel should access the stadium at Entry B at the northeast corner of Cowboys Stadium. Entry B is near the Lot 3 parking area. Once entering the stadium photographers will be directed to the nearest elevator. The photographer workroom is located at Field Level near the East End Zone tunnel. Photographers should turn left after exiting the elevator to reach the photo workroom and check-in locations. Radio network media are encouraged to ride the escalator for quicker access to Star Level. Radio media that choose to ride the elevator should turn left after exiting the elevator. SECONDARY MEDIA ENTRANCE - ENTRY F: Broadcast personnel parking in Lot 7 will access the stadium at Entry F. After entering the stadium, media should turn right to reach the freight elevator, proceed to Field Level, turn left and walk to the southwest tunnel leading to the Video media Workroom and the West End Zone. Media parking in Lot 7 that need ac- cess to the main press box should turn lefter after entering the stadium, then walk across the West End Zone platform and past the concession stands. Press box elevators are located on the left at Entry J & K. The press box is on Star Level. MEDIA SHUTTLE BUS: Buses begin departing the Omni Mandalay Hotel for Cowboys Stadium at 3:00 p.m.. The drop off point is Lot 10, outside the Main Press Box entrance on the north side of the stadium. This entrance is marked J & K. After the game, buses again will be in service to return media to the Omni Mandalay Hotel headquarters. MEDIA PARKING: For those granted parking priviledges at the stadium, the primary media area is Lot 10, located at the northwest corner of Cowboys Stadium. This area is accessed from Randol Mill Road across the street from Walmart. Photographers and radio network personnel will park in Lot 3. Most television media are assigned to Lot 7 at the south- west corner of the stadium in the satellite/live truck parking area. Media parking in Lot 3 should enter through the stadium’s main entrance from Randol Mill Road, between Lots 1 and 2. Lot 3 media parking is located to the left of Entry A. Media parking in Lot 7 should enter from Cowboys Way. Lot 3 media will enter the stadium at Entry B. Lot 7 media will ac- cess the stadium at Entry F. FIELD LEVEL MEDIA CHECK-IN: All media working at Field Level prior to and during the game must check-in with stadium personnel at the main field tunnel at the East End Zone. Vests will be distributed to working photographers at this location. These vests must be worn for the duration of the game and returned at the conclusion of the game. STATISTICS: All media representatives will receive the customary services: game program, flip card, play by play, offensive and defensive statistics, scoring summary and post-game quotes and notes. During the game, live statistics may be found on television monitors within the press box. Statistics will be e-mailed to credentialed media at halftime and at the end of the game. TELEPHONES: Pool telephones are available to media on Star Level. WIRELESS INTERNET ACCESS: Cowboys Stadium is a wireless facility. IT personnel will be available to assist as needed throughout the game in both the press box and photographer’s workroom. MEDIA AREAS IN COWBOYS STADIUM ONLINE DRIVING MAP: Media should visit an online mapping system to determine the most efficient route to Cowboys Stadium. This interac- tive website may be found at WWW.ATTCOTTONBOWLMAPS.COM. This system will design a route from an originating zip code to and from the designated parking areas. This routing system includes a map with direc- tions. Please note that in some situations, due to traffic control, lane clo- sures or construction conditions leading to and from the stadium, routing may vary from other mapping websites or GPS systems. Both the City of Arlington and City of Grand Prairie are adjusting traffic signal timing to accommodate these routes to facilitate timely arrival and departure. PARKING - SATELLITE/LIVE TRUCKS: The media parking area for TV reporters and live trucks is Lot 7 at the southwest corner of Cowboys Stadium. The parking and usage fee for live trucks during the week and game day is $500. Please contact media directors Charlie Fiss or Michael Konradi to reserve a parking location and cite specific needs. Your request will be submitted to the stadium’s broadcast engineering department. Please read page 2 for more details regarding the parking and usage fee. EQUIPMENT CARTS: Golf carts will be available in the media lots to as- sist in transporting heavy equipment to the stadium before and after the game. Cart operators may be found in various locations around the three media parking areas - Lots 3, 7 and 10. DRIVING MAPS AND PARKING MEDIA SERVICES POST-GAME INTERVIEWS INTERVIEW ROOM: Both team locker rooms are closed. However, head coaches and selected players will be made available to the media follow- ing the game in a formal news conference and for one-on-one interviews. These post-game interviews will be staged in the main interview room on the south side of Cowboys Stadium. After the customary 10-minute “cooling off” period, the non-winning coach and selected players will be escorted to the interview room. Ten minutes later, the winning coach and selected players will be escorted to the interview room. Following the on- stage appearance, players and coaches will move to a separate interview area to give media ample opportunity to obtain one-on-one comments. Audio hookups are available for electronic media. To reach the main interview room, media should turn right after exiting the elevator at Field Level. Staff members will be available to direct media representatives to the post-game interviews. POST-GAME FIELD ACCESS: Media are permitted access to the playing field in the closing minutes of the game. Those choosing to watch from the field instead of viewing television monitors in the post-game interview room must remain in the West End Zone and not stand in front of the Field Level Suites. Elevators begin departing the Main Press Box at the 5:00 minute mark of the fourth quarter and will run to Field Level through the end of the game. The elevator is dedicated to media use at that time, so there is no hurry to leave the Main Press Box. FREQUENCY COORDINATIONFREQUENCY REQUIREMENT: Any affiliate TV station, video crew, radio station or other media using a transmission device (cell phones ex-cluded) must receive clearance through the Cowboys Stadium frequency coordinator. The device and frequency under which it operates must be reported in advance to avoid interference with the many radio frequency devices that already have been established. Media should go online to www.wirelesscoordinations.com to access the frequency information.Credentials will not be issued until this frequency document is submitted and approved.

FREQUENCY CHECK: A mandatory frequency check will be staged prior to the game. This location is near the photographer workroom at the East End Zone. All transmission devices must be inspected before they can be used on stadium grounds.

The Omni Mandalay Hotel at Las Colinas will serve as media headquarters for the 2012 AT&T Cotton Bowl Classic. The media headquarters will begin operations on Sunday, January 1. Daily hours are from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. A workroom with daily practice notes and quotes, FAX machine and telephones also will be available to the media. Please check the headquarters’ bulletin board for various updates or time changes during the week. Room rates for AT&T Cotton Bowl Classic media are $98.00 plus tax, single and double. Available information includes historical game summaries, records, ticket informa-tion and links to the Big 12 and Southeastern Conference websites. Notes and quotes from news conferences and team practices are updated on a daily basis. On game day, media may access complete statistical infor-mation throughout the game.

BROADCAST QUALITY VIDEO AND AUDIO ON THE WEB: Broadcast quality video and audio will be posted daily on the AT&T Cotton Bowl website for newsroom purposes. Electronic media may obtain soundbites from players and coaches, clips from news conferences, practice footage, as well as special event footage from team hospital visits and other social events during the week. PHOTO DECK: The primary photo deck is situated on the north side of the stadium. Media should access this area on the Silver Level at entries C335/C334. A secondary photo deck also is available in the stadium’s upper deck. This area is located at the northwest corner of the stadium adjacent to Section 439. All photo deck positions will be assigned by the AT&T Cotton Bowl Classic.

FIELD RESTROOM FACILITIES: Media working on the field have access to restroom facilities inside the print photographer workroom and on the north side of the East End Zone tunnel. Media in the video workroom may access restroooms in the south club suite area at the 50-yard line by walking around the field level concourse.

CANON PHOTOGRAPHIC EQUIPMENT: Canon USA will have representa-tives available the evening of the game at Cowboys Stadium to assist credentialed still photographers. Canon will loan lenses and camera bodies to photographers on a limited or emergency basis. Reservation forms will be forwarded to photo media or may be obtained at the Omni.

OUTSTANDING PLAYERS: Outstanding offensive and defensive players in the 76th AT&T Cotton Bowl Classic will be named in a vote by members of the media. Ballots will be distributed at the start of the fourth quarter and collected prior to your departure for the field and the interview room. Media representatives also may choose to submit ballots in the interview room once the game has been completed.

MEDIA FACILITIES AND SERVICESCOACH PLAYER INTERVIEWS: To aid the media in its coverage of the AT&T Cotton Bowl Classic, news conferences with coaches and players have been scheduled throughout the week at the Omni Mandalay Hotel. Players will be stationed on risers around the hotel ballroom for one-on-one interviews. On Wednesday, January 4, the two head coaches will be available in a formal news conference setting. Please consult your media event schedule for exact times. All other individual interviews with coaches or players must be cleared through each institution’s SID.

MEDIA DAY: Players and coaches will be available to the media on Sun-day, January 1. The Media Day site for both teams is Cowboys Stadium. Media Day for Arkansas begins at 11:30 a.m., followed by Kansas State at 12:15 p.m. Formal news conferences will be held for the two head coaches while players and assistant coaches are available on an informal basis on the field.

STADIUM ENTRANCE DURING BOWL WEEK: Media covering team prac-tices should access Cowboys Stadium through the Employee Entrance on the south side of the stadium to the right of Entry E. Media representa-tives attending Media Day on January 1 may pick up game credentials at the security guard desk inside Entry E. To the left of the security desk is a single elevator. Field Level is F on the elevator key pad. Once at Field Level, turn right and walk toward the stadium’s loading dock area. Across from the loading dock is the Photographer/Media Workroom. This location will serve as the media work area for those covering practices during the week.

TV LIVE SHOTS: TV stations covering the AT&T Cotton Bowl Classic must contact broadcast liaison Sandy King in advance to make arrangements for “Live Shot” opportunities during the week. King may be reached by calling 501-520-8580. Inside the stadium, there are two areas where Live Shots are permitted – the East and West End Zone platforms that over-look the playing field. During daytime hours, all live shots must originate outside the stadium in Lot 7, the satellite truck compound that is located at the southwest corner of Cowboys Stadium.

USAGE FEE FOR TV LIVE SHOTS: The parking and usage fee for television satellite/live trucks is $500. This is a flat fee for use during the week or on game day. Trucks will be assigned a parking location and a pod hookup which provides power and connectivity to the building. This fee must be paid to Cowboys Stadium through Dwin Towell, the Director of Broadcast Engineering. Towell’s office number is 817-892-4146. His e-mail address is [email protected].

GAME TICKETS: Tickets for the 2012 AT&T Cotton Bowl Classic may be available to the media on a limited basis. MEDIA HOSPITALITY: A number of evening social functions are sched-uled during AT&T Cotton Bowl Week for media to enjoy. Please consult your media event schedule for times and locations. Bus transportation is provided to most parties. Please note that the evening social events are intended for adults only. In addition, a hospitality room will be open daily at the media headquarters starting on Saturday evening, December 31. Ping-pong and various other games will serve as one of the week’s highlights in our Media Olympics competition that take place during the evenings. Please contact the media registration desk for further information regarding hospitality activities.

PRESS BOX MEAL: A “South of the Border” Mexican buffet will be served in the Cowboys Stadium main press box, as well as in the radio booth and photographer workroom dining areas before the game. Food, soft drinks and water will be available in each location starting at 4:00 p.m. At halftime, hot dogs and ice cream treats will be provided for media to enjoy. Bottled water will be supplied to photographers throughout the game in the East End Zone tunnel, just outside the photo workroom.

POST-GAME MEDIA HOSPITALITY: Media representatives and their spouses are invited to relax following the game at the Omni Mandalay Hotel. A full breakfast/brunch will be served in the media hospitality room. This meal begins at approximately 11:30 p.m., and continues until everyone has returned to the Omni from the stadium. The event is provided by the Irving Convention and Visitors Bureau.
