Objectives Our interactive, scenario-driven exercises ensure that delegates will benefit from decades of real world emergency response and crisis management experience from law enforcement professionals. This provides your organisation with the opportunity to resource the gaps, add training or enhance planning before being faced with a real incident. Description • Table-top exercise – focuses on management and coordination of the emergency response team. Includes controlled discussions based on a likely or common event specific to the organisation. The facilitator allows delegates a safe opportunity to discuss and critique their emergency management procedures roles and responsibilities. These are low stress, but very effective exercises for testing preparedness. • Simulation exercise – specific focus on management control. These exercises will test your organisation’s response to a scenario driven event in real time. Facilitators feed in pre-programmed challenges throughout the exercise. Depending on your organisation’s level of readiness, the stress level and intensity can be adapted by positioning participants in different locations, and using communication systems to add to the realism of the event. • Full scale exercise – an intense and involving exercise, this experience will test management, coordination, and performance of functional tasks during a crisis situation. By mirroring, as closely as possible, a real emergency, delegates are placed in their anticipated roles and are expected to complete tasks as they would during a real event. Through comprehensive planning and preparation, these exercises will thoroughly test your organisation’s ability to successfully respond to an emergency. Who should attend This course is designed for response planners, as well as response co-ordinators, team leaders and managers, and any members of executive teams who will play are role in or require a knowledge of how your organisation responds to a serious incident.
