This has ensured Shay Murtagh now has a a tool management process in place where costs are now more transparent, efficient and lean. ‘We know how much our tools will cost for the foreseeable future, which makes budgeting and planning so much more efficient and cost effective. We have also saved substantially on our annual cost of buying tools. This Fleet management programme has connected Shay

the Fleet Management service ensures that the tools are repaired in the fastest time possible by expert technicians at no cost. ‘This greatly reduces downtime which in turn greatly increases productivity. The fact that there is only one monthly invoice has given us significant savings in our invoice processing department.’

Compact size, lightweight and ergonomic design make for superior handling across the portfolio. The TE 6-A36 and TE 30-A36 tools also come with Active Vibration Reduction (AVR), which reduces vibration by up to two-thirds compared with conventional power tools, resulting in greater working comfort and increased productivity. The TE 30-A36 also comes with Active Torque Control (ATC): two sensors detect jamming of the drill bit and the motor is decelerated by an electronic safety cut-out - in a fraction of a second - preventing injury.

Advanced battery technology

Hilti batteries incorporate the latest Lithium-ion technology to provide unequalled power and capacity. Four LEDs keep you informed about the battery’s state of charge. Rubberized, impact-resistant, fiberglass-reinforced casings and battery cells protected by the Cordless Power Care (CPC) system mean they can handle even the toughest jobsite conditions.

Virtually dust-free drilling

Compatible with the TE 6-A36, the TE DRS 6-A Dust removal system makes drilling into concrete virtually dust-free and therefore safer and more productive.

Hilti TE-CD / YD Hollow drill bits - compatible with the TE 30-A36 (see pages 14-15) - remove dust from the point of impact, meaning a virtually dust-free environment. It also makes hole-cleaning unnecessary, meaning no need for brushes, blow-out pumps or compressed air to clean holes.
