    Outlook for AugustOverall, real estate activity in Hermosa Beach during July proved less exciting when compared to June.

    Most of the major performance indicators trended downward, such as total sales, median sales price,median days to sell, and listings. However, the sales/listings ratio did improve 10.86% leading some to

    conclude the drop in the median sales price helped to stimulate buyer interest, which in turn resulted in

    more offers to purchase.

    What should you expect in August? Considering the cost to borrow money remains historically

    inexpensive it seems reasonable to assume the real market will continue to show signs of improvement,

    despite the occasional setback. For buyers, in particular, one advantage is the time of yearoncesummer ends I suspect home owners will be more accommodating with respect to price negotiations.

    Sellers, on the other hand, still benefit from lower inventories and lending institutions that make money

    available to qualified buyers.
