OUR TOWN

Villarrubia de los Ojos is in the middle of the

famous community of Castilla-La Mancha.

It has approximately 11000 inhabitants.

We have two high schools and

three schools.

CLASS SCHEDULECLASS SCHEDULEWe have 6 lessons a day. We start with the first lesson at half past eight. In the middle of the morning we have a break of half an hour. We finish the last lesson at twenty-five past two.

OUR CENTREIt was opened in 1996

and it has more than

700 students, many of which are from

other countries like

Romania, Morocco, China...

It has got 54 teachers.

In this center you can learn

subjects like Maths, Spanish

Language, Art, Music, ITC,

PE, English, French, Latin...

We also have a canteen in the high school, so if we want to buy some food for the break, we can buy it there. There are sandwiches, coffee, soft drinks and sweets.

We have a lot of classrooms in the highschool, we have a laboratory, acarpentry studio (to doprojects with wood), departments ofeach of the subjects, a hall, a staffroom, and a gym.

We some extracurricular activities, like a raffle to get money for charity, musicals, interchanges with other countries and gastronomic fests.

GRADUATIONWhen students finish their studies at school we make a ceremony for them, we rememorate their years in the high school and also eat some snacks in a little party.

Villarrubia is a very beautiful place, it is near Daimiel, where we can also find a natural reserve

This National Park is called “Las Tablas de Daimiel”.

Behind this place, we can find the “Acuífero 23”. The aquifer used to have a lot of water, now, depending on the month and the amount of rain, it has got more or less water.

In Villarrubia, we have “El Mirador de La Mancha”.It is a place in the mountains on top of which can you have a nice sight of the town.

There are also “Las Casitas” that are like small huts that people can rent to spend a holiday surrounded by nature.

we recommend you to come

to Spain, especially to

Castilla-La Mancha, because

there are a lot of beautiful

and interesting places and a

lot of people come here to

visit all the places, museums

and particularly “El Mirador

de La Mancha”. What are you
