    GRIFLAM Heating Technology

    What does GRIFLAMoffer?

    We have developed the new GRIFLAM product range with a broad spectrum of highquality products to meet the multi-faceted demands for heating work-pieces with the Oxy-fuel flame, so that the user is always offered the optimum solution for all heatingprocesses bearing their specific production parameters in mind.

    The GRIFLAM product range includes a large number of heating inserts and heatingtorches which can be individually used to suit the type of gas, the necessary torchgeometry and the thermal output of the flame required for a specific heat transfer. Withhandles for manual use and shafts for mechanised applications we can offer torches forevery output level in combination with products from the MINITHERM, STAR, STARLETand SUPERTHERM range. The accessories needed for optimum use of the heatingtorches, such as supply hoses, safety equipment, setting valves etc. are an integral partof our GRIFLAMproduct range.

    Complete solutions for individual requirements are the characteristic of theGRIFLAMrange. Our project team is always at your disposal for advice and support.

    In addition, GRIFLAM

    offers the service of individual production which can be modifiedto suit specific customer requirements. The manufacture of heating inserts and torches inspecial lengths or with special head angles is also part of GRIFLAM , as is thedevelopment and production of complete heating units for automatically controlledheating processes, e.g. for exactly controlled cycle times. As well as heating torches,which are the core of such a unit, we also, of course, supply the associated equipment.Gas supply units and control, ignition and monitoring equipment round off the range andmake our GRIFLAM heating technology to complete and indispensable partner, for allprojects involving heating with the Oxy-fuel flame.

    In this catalogue we present to you our entire GRIFLAMstandard range with over 750

    GRIFLAM Heating TechnologyFuel Gases:

    The heating process and the required temperature height determine notonly the choice of heating torch, but also the choice of fuel gas used. Theshape of the heating torch and ist distance to the job influence the heatdistribution.

    The flame temperature can be varied by altering the mixing ration of fuelgas / air or fuel gas / Oxygen.

    However, not only the flame temperature but also the burning speed ofthe gas is decisive for the selection of the gas mixture. For these factors,too influence the distribution of heat and the time to heat the job.

    Construction:With single flame outlet (Z-A) or multi flame outlet (F-A) and under pressure (Injector) mixing principle.

    Designed for thermodynamic stability. Angle: 60The inserts are able to retain a constant mixing ratio, even under high thermal loads so they ensure aneutral welding flame.Where normal heating and welding inserts would separate the gases because of the high heat load, andeven backfire, forcing work to be paused, the KONSTANTHERM inserts allow an undisturbed, continuousheating and melting, which is important for high quality welds.

    Application: Welding at places where there is high heat

    reflection, e. g. in corners, in the inside of pipes,at pipe junctions.

    Work where two units are used to heat or weldsimultaneously from both sides.

    Construction:

    Copper, gas mixing, high power nozzles with wide area flame outlet shape. Fuel gas and Oxygen are fedseparately to the nozzle and mixed internally by a number of separate mixers (Injectors) using the underpressure mixing principle. By dividing the total mixture volume into part volumes and through the shortlengths of the gas feed canals, the nozzles can withstand very high thermal loads and are practicallyabsolutely back-fire proof.

    Type FG-PMY and FG-A:With two concentrically arranged circles of flame outlet jets.

    Type FGZ-PMY and FGZ-A:With two concentrically arranged circles of flame outlet jets and central pilot flame oulet.
