With a user base of many thousands of testers, Metrelproducts have been supplied to utilities, Defence andelectrical contractors. A particular strength of Metrelinstruments is that they are often customised specificallyto suit Australian Standards and testing practices.

Metrel & InstalTest Quick Facts

= In 2004 Metrel customised their popular MI-2121 RCDtester to suit the RCD testing requirements of theAustralian Defence Force, resulting in the MI-2121ADFvariant with 600 units supplied to ADF facilities aroundAustralia.

= In 2006 we introduced the InstalTest 3017, the firstmultifunction installation tester with in-builtAS/NZS3017 limits. This was the first time amultifunction tester provided users with AustralianPass/Fail limit tables, simplifying installation verificationfor electrical contractors and regulatory authorities.

= In 2007 we introduced the Polarity Plus, a variant of thepopular InstalTest 3017. It provides utility line workerswith polarity and neutral testing of electrical serviceconnections. Almost 1,100 units were supplied toelectrical utilities around Australia.

Auto Sequences allow users toprogram testers with user definedtest sequences, whether a sequenceof electrical tests, text based testssuch as visual inspections or anycombination of these.

User Defined Auto SquenceProgramming

Auto Sequences are preparedand edited in the PC MSEM PROsoftware and then uploaded into theInstalTest XD tester.

Auto Sequences can be made up of acombination of any single electricaltest. Visual inspections can also beadded to capture your entire workflow. For example a switch boardinspection can capture RCD tests aswell as visual inspections andmaintenance e.g. dusting/cleaning.

User Defined Visual/FunctionalInspections
