THE WORD IS THE PRESENCE OF OUR LORD THROUGH SCRIPTURE, THE FOUNDATION UPON WHICH WE CAN CONTINUE TO BUILD OUR FAITH.

Merry Christmas! I hope that you and your families are enjoying this wonderful celebration. There will not be any Religious Education Classes this weekend or next because of the Christmas and New Year’s Celebra-tions. Classes will resume on January 8th, 2017. I hope you all have a holy, happy and healthy holiday sea-son.

From the Desk of Father Pauselli Dear friends, what a joyous day his is for the Church. On this day we remember Christ’s coming to earth over two thousand years ago. During the Advent season we have contemplated the three ‘comings’ of Christ: in history, at the end-times, and into our hearts. Today we celebrate with great joy the Nativity of the Lord—his coming in history—as fully as we can. In celebrating the Nativity, we fervently pray that our dear Lord will also be born in our hearts. Then we, like the Blessed Mother, can share his presence with the world around us. May God grant you a truly unique Christmas experience this year and may God bless you abundantly! Next weekend, New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day be aware we will have our regular schedule except for the 8:00 a.m. Mass. So Masses will be on Saturday, December 31 at 5:00 p.m. and Sunday, January 1 at 11:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Because Christmas falls on a Sunday this year, the Feast of the Holy Family is celebrated on Friday, December 30. Have a great week and a blessed Christmas!

PRAYER SHAWL MINISTRY will not meet on Monday, December 26, 2016 and

January 2, 2017.

Baby Bottle Program

Pennsylvanians for Human Life is conducting a fundraiser in which our parish

is participating. The donations will be used to promote respect

for life, to educate the public, and to help women choose life

during crisis pregnancies or heal after an abortion. Please take

home a baby bottle, fill it with pocket change, cash, or a check,

and return it by January 8th. Baby bottles are now located in

the center vestibule! Thank you for your help!

We are grateful to all who volunteer their time and talents for the

betterment of our parish community. To show our appreciation,

there will be a dinner at Amadeo’s on Sunday, January 8, 2016 at

6:30PM. Anyone who volunteers their time and talent for the good

of our community are invited to attend. Please make a reservation

by calling the Parish Office (570-344-1724) by January 5, 2017, no

other invitations will be sent!

Thanks again for all the good you do for our Parish community!
