Only of the only standing Watch room’s left in the world... a beautiful room with a fireplace that seats 8 comfortably

in a unique private room.

Step back in history and sit where the Fire Station Master would watch the horses and carts loaded with buckets of water

go out and then time them to come back in.

In this room, famously Winston Churchill told the Fire Station leader – to save Westminster Abbey during a WW2 bomb

raid, when the Abbey was on fire... he shouted down the crackly telephone line… ‘Save the Abbey whatever the cost’!

A stunning room featuring the iconic heritage listed tiles from 1906 when the Westminster Fire Station was built, and beautifully decorated with touches from India, and hints of Victorian London.

This room offers only the Mathura Tasting Menus when not being used for private hire.

Unless booked for a private event, you can book for 1 chair... or 5 or 10... or all 22. It boasts its own unique cocktail list, wine list and menus that aren’t available anywhere else in

Mathura – a very special State Room.

The Mathura events team, headed by Phoebe Hutchinson, will ensure your lunch, dinner or party is easy to arrange,

and is a fabulous event that your guests will be talking about for years to come.
