waterproof- depending on the weather

• 1pm: it may sound late, but don't worry you will get a

snack at break and there is always the Tuck Shop!

• Map: inside the planner, so you don't get lost

• Calculator: from Maths department

• Calendar: lists all the lunch time activites and after

school clubs

• Form Groups: Move around with your buddies from

your form group

your planner or just ask class mates, tutors, staff or

• Registration time is more than just a tick in the

book, it's a good chance to get to know your form

buddies

• Your tutor will support you to ensure your 1st year

is the best it can be

• Activities: Wednesday activities are a great

opportunity to try something new

• Form Groups: You will be split up in to five forms of

22 pupils with 2 prefects with each form and 2 senior

prefects to help everybody

Good to know

• Remember: Wearing your uniform says you are part

of the Truro School Community, look smart, don't let

the community down!

• Pupil wrist bands: You will be given a wrist band

for access to the school. If you loose your wrist band

please report it to Lilac Office- this is the room at the

foot of the stairs, next to the school office.

• Mobile Devices: Store mobile devices away until

the end of day, if you need to use them ask a

member of staff first, otherwise they will be

confiscated

• SBA: Refers to the Sir Ben Ainslie Sports Centre

With over 20 Wednesday afternoon activities to choose from we are sure you will find something you will enjoy

• Activity sheets will be given to you by your form

tutor. You will need to make your choice, ask your

parents to sign, and bring it back to your form tutor

• Being the youngest in the school has it's

advantages! You will be first for lunch every day

until the half-term break. Then your lunch-time

will be on a rota system with the other year

Clubs and after-school activities

• We operate a two weekly timetable, "Week A" and "Week B". This is clearly advertised in the termly calendar, student planners and Friday bulletin

• Everyday at 10.40am you will have Chapel or assembly or tutor period followed by break

• There are two dedicated tutor periods each week

• Headmaster's assemblies take place on alternative Fridays with Competition House Assemblies - make sure you remember whether you are Smith, School, Vinter or Wickett.
