Changes I have decided to make to my music video When I looked at my music video and ancillary tasks as a whole, I discovered that the pieces do not have any convenience and no brand identity, which is a major thing I need to change. After exploring every possibility I have decided to redo the video to have a clearer narrative and to link to the characters on the digipak and advert. As the characters fit well with my theme of real life and fantasy life, I have decided to use these characters as a part of my music video. To start, I am going to use the person I used to take photos of, however I will not change the name, as I do not want to change the project too much. By doing this, the link between the music video and the ancillary texts will already be stronger. I am going to use similar if not the same costumes which I feel not only adds brand identity, but also will enhance the narrative, as it will become clearer and possibly more interesting. I am then going to make sure that there are a bigger variety of shots and settings, therefore using close-ups of each character and then being in the type of setting that character would be in. For example for Marilyn Monroe, I will try get permission to use the stage located in the college and for the other girl I may use somewhere like ‘Summer hill’ which is a place people would go to see beautiful scenery or where kids would go to play. To add to the narrative, I want to have something before and after to make it more interesting from beginning to end, for example having her walk on and off a stage and so on. I think if I want a professional looking video I need to take more time on filming and thinking of shots and what the character can do. I feel this is why my last music video failed as my time management was ruined over medical reasons, which I posted about on my blog. This time as I am fit and have a week to film, I feel much more confidant.

Changes I have decided to make to my music video

When I looked at my music video and ancillary tasks as a whole, I discovered that the

pieces do not have any convenience and no brand identity, which is a major thing I need to change. After exploring every possibility I have decided to redo the video to

have a clearer narrative and to link to the characters on the digipak and advert. As the characters fit well with my theme of real life and fantasy life, I have decided to

use these characters as a part of my music video.

I am then going to make sure that there are a bigger variety of shots and settings,

therefore using close-ups of each character and then being in the type of setting that

character would be in. For example for Marilyn Monroe, I will try get permission to use the stage located in the college and for the other girl I may use somewhere like

‘Summer hill’ which is a place people would go to see beautiful scenery or where kids would go to play.

To add to the narrative, I want to have something before and after to make it more

interesting from beginning to end, for example having her walk on and off a stage and so on. I think if I want a professional looking video I need to take more time on filming and thinking of shots and what the character can do. I feel this is why my last music video failed as my time management was ruined over medical reasons, which I posted about on my blog. This time as I am fit and have a week to film, I feel much more confidant.
