6. BILL OF QUANTITY AND PROJECT ESTIMATE The bill of quantity of various items and their estimated cast is presented below in detail. The quantity of civil works have been worked out in two categories ; one on the ground and within 1.5m bgl (below ground level) and other 1.5 to 12 bgl and hence having on an average 8 lifts The rates have for these quantities also been worked out accordingly. The RCC of M20 grade in construction of liquid retaining heavy structures such as the present sewage sump well is generally rich in steel and the % of steel varies from 1.5% to 2.0%. The rates of all the items have been worked out- either by rate analysis after having market rates of the components or through vendor correspondence. The final rates mentioned in the following estimate are inclusive of transportation, over heads & the profits of the agency engaged to execute the work and the prevalent taxes.
