Water & Sanitation (ongoing)
IEC initiatives with LnT for PHED (Aapni Yojana phase - III): Water supply from Public Stand Posts (PSP) maintained by PHED in urban & rural area is free of cost. However, in Aapni Yojana, which has been declared as “Special Project” for water tariff purposes, cost recovery is being done for water being supplied through PSPs.
The main objective of IEC (Information, Education & Communication) activities is to initiate and support Village Level Committees (VWHSC) that looks after the operation & maintenance of water supply inside the village. This ensures project’s sustainability, revenue collection and benefits’ maximization. Recently awarded projects are:
188 Villages of Bungi – Rajgarh, 97 Villages of Didwana – Ladnu, 256 Villages of Ratangarh – Sujangarh, 111 Villages of Pali District, and 258 Villages of Jhunjhunun District.
