Growth Brings Growth forBarnes Bullets

In 1974, Randy and Coni Brooks began manufacturing bullets inthe basement of their 580-square-foot home. The couple bought thebullet-making business from those who had purchased it from FredBarnes, who founded the company in the early 1930s.

As the business grew, so did the buildings—a 1000-square-footaddition in 1976, followed by a 3,500-square-foot facility in 1983.After Randy invented the immensely popular all-copper X Bulletin 1986, business began booming. Outgrowing its 35,000 square-foot manufacturing plant erected in 1996, Barnes Bullets will

now occupy a new, state-of-the-artfacility in Mona, Utah, 40 milessouth of its former location.

Entering ballistic gelatin at high velocity, a Barnes triple-shock®

X Bullet® immediately expands as hydraulic pressure forces the speciallyengineered nose cavity open. The shock wave dynamically displaces thegelatin, simulating its affect on game.
