Copy the slide titles (in order) to the text boxes

If the window you can use to easily type your text into is not present, click on the border of the Process diagram to select it. Then, click on the Text Pane button on the far left of the tool ribbon. It’s much easier than clicking into each tile.

5. Once you’ve entered all the slide titles, you can format your Table of Contents. Start by choosing an overall visual style for your table. Remember, someone has to be able to read it to use it.

6. Next, you can use the Change Colors tool.

7. To add the title, go back to the Home ribbon, click on Layout, and select Title Only.

8. While you’re in the Home tab, you can also select the border of the table and change the font color, type and size, use Bold or Italics, etc.

9. Finally, and most importantly, you need to hyperlink each tile to the slide it represents. To do this, click on a slide and use the hyperlink shortcut (Ctrl + k) to bring up the hyperlink window.

10. Hyperlinking a slide Select Place in This Document

Make sure you are selecting the name of the slide that matches the tile. Double-click on the slide name in the list to add the hyperlink. Repeat the process with each slide.

11. (Optional) Creating a hyperlink to return to the table of contents

Click on the slide right after the table of contents. On the Insert ribbon, select Shapes

Select an Action Button. Drag diagonally to create the shape. Hint: if you hold down the Shift key as you drag, it will produce a perfect square.

12. (Optional) Creating a hyperlink to return to the table of contents

In the Hyperlink to: pull-down menu, select Slide…

In the window that pops open, select the Table of Contents slide. Then, click Ok in both window.

Right-click on your Action button and select Copy.
