Accommodation is located a 5 minute walk away, in the pedestrianised zone of Wall Street. Each day, students will walk past iconic locations such as the New York Stock Exchange and Federal Hall.
Students live in high-quality twin bedrooms, each with an en-suite bathroom, mini-kitchen and access to the concierge service.
Transfers:

The Young Professionals syllabus combines three core components: classroom theory lessons, practical workshops, and ‘Study-in-Action’ days that comprise visits to locations related to a student’s chosen subject.

Course information:
Classes are taught with a maximum size of 11 students, ensuring students are always engaged and receive ample attention from tutors.
Academic hours consist of the following per week:• 9 hours subject theory (classroom based in the mornings).• 6 hours subject practicals (workshop
based teaching in the afternoons)• 7 hours group project work (subject based)• 3 hours of skills electives
Practical sessions:
Subjects are most enjoyed when students have the opportunity to get out of their chairs and experience their chosen areas first-hand.
These afternoon periods will allow students to truly understand their selected subjects, whether it be in the laboratory (medicine), pitching mock-business plans (business), creating clothing (fashions and design) or conducting a model united nations (international relations & law).

The course introduces students to various aspects of international law, and primarily focuses on historical cases as well as the nature, sources and operation of modern day international law. New York is a melting pot of different nationalities throughout the city, as well as being home to the world headquarters of the United Nations, where students visit.

OverviewDays out of the school are split into two types: ‘excursions’ and ‘study-in-action days’. Excursions are a relaxed way for students to visit famous landmarks and attractions with the whole group. Study-in-action days have a larger academic element, as students visit destinations within that provide real- life experiences relating to their chosen subject area. ‘Excursions’ can be found below, whilst the next page shows sample study-in-action days.
Excursion Destinations
Philadelphia (Week 1 & 4)Visit the city that played an instrumental role in the American Revolution as a meeting place for the Founding Fathers of the United States. Sights include the Liberty Bell, Independence Hall, as well as other historic sights.
Six Flags Adventure Park (Week 2)A thrill filled day riding over 50 attractions to fill your day with at Six Flags Adventure Park. A great opportunity to let loose and have a great day in this adventure park!
Long Beach Island (Week 3) A lovely beach town known for its long paradise beaches. Founded in 1690, Long Beach Island offers not only beautiful beaches, but quaint American towns and also a delightful “American” amusement park on the seafront.

NYSCI STEM workshop • MedicineFor more than 30 years, NYSCI has inspired and guided young people to pursue careers in science, technology, engineering, and math. NYSCI’s Learning Lab provides the opportunity to take on the D-N-AMAZING workshop. The workshop discovers the shared chemistry that exists among living things. Students engage in an interactive lab protocol utilizing lab equipment (goggles, gloves, pipettes, microcentrifuge tubes, chemical solutions) to extract DNA from your own cheek cells and learn how the same units of DNA lead to the diversity of living things.
UN headquarters • International RelationsA guided tour offers an exciting opportunity to discover UN Headquarters. One of our multilingual Tour Guides will take you on a brief journey through the corridors of international diplomacy. You will learn about the history and work of the United Nations and visit the famous General Assembly Hall (pictured) and Security Council Chamber (meetings permitting).
Metropolitan Museum of Art- Teen Studio • Fashion & DesignUnleash your creativity and experiment with materials in unexpected ways during an art-making workshop in the gallery. Students get inspired by the collections before having the opportunity to produce their own interpretation.
The Wall Street Experience • Business & FinanceThe Wall Street Experience was founded to provide an exclusive and comprehensive experience to visitors of Wall Street. Students get the truth about the financial collapse straight from Wall Street veterans. The experience focuses on what really brought down the “Too Big To Fail” organizations like Bear Stearns and AIG
