A WORD FROM THE PRINCIPAL

Welcome back everyone to Term 2, which is already shaping up to be a busy one. Thank you to those families who represented our school at the Goulburn Anzac Day march. I’ve been told what wonderful representatives our students were. We also commemorated Anzac Day at school on Tuesday. At the end of last term we participated in our TREC cross country race at Wollondilly School. I was very proud of all who participated. Congratulations to all who are going to District next week. All our Year 3 and 5 students will be participating in NAPLAN testing in Week 3. If any parents have questions please feel free to contact the school. I am looking forward to being a part of school photos next week. I always look forward to having a record of the staff and students I work with. On our recent staff development day the TREC staff began planning more sharing days, they sound like a lot of fun. More information will be given as they get closer.

What’s Happening in K - 2 Currently Mrs Tinson is on Long Service Leave, and will return Monday 20th May. In the meantime Ms McGahey and Mrs Casey will be filling in until Mrs Tinson returns.

What’s Happening in 3 – 6 We have been working hard on our Anzac writing task this week. The 3 – 6 students have talked about why we commemorate this day and what it means to us. The students are also going to be setting literacy and numeracy goals that they can work towards at their own pace.

From K – 6 their vegetable and flower displays looked fabulous on display at the Windellama Country Fair
