I am proud and honored to saythat I am following in the footsteps ofmy parents and grandparents. We

know how to cook, clean and we give100 percent to the business. My onlyregret is that my mother, father andgrandmother aren’t here alive to seeall of this, but I know in my heart thatthey are seeing it even though theycan’t be here with me.”

gels apart is the fact that Donna hascreated a company that is fully li-censed, bonded and insured, and eachclient can expect to have a team ofDonna’s Cleaning Angels at their dooreach time that they have service.

Donna says, “Next to your doc-tor, there’s nothing more personal

than your cleaning service, whichis why we take so many steps toprotect you and make you feel atease with our service. My clientsdon’t have to worry because I’vedone the homework and I carrythe liability.”

Donna’s Cleaning Angels al-ways work as a team; the work getsdone faster with two and it pro-vides a level of safety and securityfor everyone. The teams are al-ways presentable and friendly, wearuniforms with non-slip shoes, andcome in with a large canvas kitcontaining all of their high qualitycleaning supplies. What’s more, every employee that Donna hiresis background checked, drug freeand covered by workman’s com-pensation. This is part of the rea-son why Donna’s Cleaning Angelsis the first choice of so many peo-ple in our area.

“It’s important to me to hirepeople who have a clean back-ground, and who are polite, trust-

worthy and dependable,” says Donna.“As a result, I can be very picky aboutwho I hire.” She adds, “Some employ-ees have come here that previouslyworked for other cleaning services, and they are amazed at the way ourtraining procedures are. They stated

that their previous employers madethem watch a video and then sentthem off the very next day to clean, unsupervised. Our Angels have on-the-job training for over a month, with a field manager, before they areconsidered a ‘true cleaning angel.’ Ittakes time and effort to make sure anemployee is 100 percent up toour cleaning standards. Detailed clean-ing is what we are known for. Not justa run-through, wipe-down.”

To ensure that every client ishappy after each cleaning, Donna of-fers comment cards, regularly checksin with her clients, and has regularmeetings with her staff.

Donna is very involved in ourcommunity, and after doing this for 25years she has met a lot of people and isproud to support other local busi-nesses and restaurants. Together withher partner, Steve, she frequently dines

at places like Central Park Restaurantin New Port Richey and Christo’sRestaurant at Mitchell Ranch Plaza inTrinity. She says, “We’ve found thatwe have some of the same customers,”adding, “We agree that we are fortu-nate to advertise in Neighborhood News& Lifestyles and we absolutely love thestaff there. In fact, people have beenreading my articles in the Neighbor-hood News for so many years that newclients will greet me like they’veknown me for years.”

Reflecting, Donna says, “At theend of the day I thank God for myblessings – the great people who workfor me, a great business, my health,my home, my loved ones and my fam-ily. God bless you all.”

As time passes, families grow andchange and too often family historycan become lost. When you look at anold photo you may not remember itssignificance. If your grandparents areno longer around to tell the story be-hind the photograph the memory maybe lost forever.

Bob McCoy of Custom Video atLake Shore Camera Exchange has over20 years of experience in audiovisualproduction and he understands theimportance of preserving your family’sprecious memories for future genera-tions. Located on US 19 in PalmHarbor, Lake Shore Camera Exchangehas been a trusted source since 1984for camera purchases (both new andused), camera repairs, photographysupplies and classes, and its full-servicelab meets all of your developing needs. And now, with Custom Video at LakeShore, customers are enjoying finallybeing able to view those boxed-upmemories with ease and convenience.

Unlike many corporate drugstorechains, all of Bob’s video transfers are

done in-house. “Many people don’tknow that when they go to the localdrugstore to have a video transfermade, most of the time, their old pho-tos, films or negatives are sent out-of-state and sometimes even out of thecountry, so they run a greater of risk oflosing those irreplaceable memories,”Bob explains.

Preserving the Past“So many people have that big

box of slides in the back of their closet– photos that are close to 100 yearsold or old family movies on old familymovie film – what they don’t realize isthat they can easily lose them to decayif they don’t transfer them to a digitalformat,” says Bob.

Environmental factors such astemperature, humidity and sunlight af-fect photographs more than any otherfactor. High heat and humidity fol-lowed by cold, dry weather such asyou would find in an attic or base-ment, are especially bad for photosand may cause cracking and separationof the emulsion/image from the sup-port; for example, the image peelingaway from the paper base of thephoto.

Dirt, dust and oil are also big cul-prits of photographic deterioration.Old movies, negatives and slides canalso become brittle and fade over time. Not long ago, there was no way for anindividual to indefinitely safeguardthose films, but now, with advances indigital technology, those precious mo-

ments of personal history can be pre-served for generations to come.

Video TransferVideo transfer is the solution. Bob

offers a variety of video formats tomeet your budget and quality needs. They use digital video technology andDVD media that will play on mostmodern DVD players. He also offersHi-Definition video on formats likeAVCHD; this plays on Blu Ray playersand can be used with HD video edit-ing software. Using state-of-the-artequipment, Bob is able to transfer oldphotos, negatives, slides, Regular 8,Super 8, and 16mm film and videos.

Bob shares, “The transfers I docan be simple or a full blown videoproduction with music, titles, and aDVD navigation menu.” Once trans-ferred to digital form, you can enjoythem over and over again using yourcurrent equipment, with no fear ofdamaging the originals. You can evencommission multiple copies so every-one who treasures these cameos fromthe past can share in the enjoyment.

options. You don’t have to take hersuggestions, but I highly recommendyou do!

With the rotating talent of eightgifted sushi chefs, Hot Tuna createsmore than food – rather edible worksof art in overly satisfying portions. Adelectable selection of only the high-est quality sushi, sashimi, and otherdelicacies arrive at your table almosttoo pretty to eat. Almost.

“Sushi is an easy food to makebeautiful, with its many colors andvarieties,” said Hanh. “It’s an excit-ing type of food.”

Even the presentations of theirsoup dishes are beautiful. The SpicySeafood Soup, a light clear brothfilled with shrimp, egg, fish, crab andspinach with chili-sesame oil floatingon top arrived in a large white bowl, steaming hot and beckoning the ac-companying spoon to bring soup tomouth. Hanh has designated thissoup as the perfect comfort food ascooler fall days attempt to approachin the holiday-laden October, No-vember and December.

A great recommendation – the

appetizer T-N-T Mussels featured sixtasty mussels nestled in a bed of sea-weed, carrot ribbons, and greens, dressed with robust wasabi and color-matching green and orange roe.

On its writable order form, HotTuna divides its rolls into cooked andraw – making the color-coding easyfor a patron to pick his meal – whiteis raw; grey is cooked.

The raw Rock n’ Rolla roll camewith enough food to share. Eight de-licious pieces of sushi were deliveredto the table plump with spicy tuna, krab delight, and cucumber, toppedwith tempura whitefish, scallion, eelsauce and colorful orange roe servedon a rectangular plate dressed withmore of the luscious eel sauce.

Be prepared for a completely

unique experience enjoying an un-usual combination of ingredients. You would not expect mango and as-paragus to be a match made inheaven, but when added to tempurashrimp, cream cheese, sweet potatofries, avocado, dusted with tempurachips and glazed in a coconut mar-malade, for whatever magic the sushimasters do behind the counter, it
