work in a state-of-the-art automated distribution environment.

A Day in the Life

The Maintenance Assistant is responsible for providing assistance in the maintenance of equipment and

facilities. This role reports to the Maintenance Supervisor and Maintenance Team Lead.

- Assists in repairing and maintaining machinery, equipment, physical structures, and plumbing

and electrical systems of industrial establishment, using hand tools and power tools.

- Cleans and lubricates machine parts, such as shafts, pulleys, gears, and bearings, using rags,

brushes, grease gun, and oilcan.

- Assists in the replacement or repair of machine belts.

- Removes dust, dirt, grease, and waste material from building and equipment.

- Paints machines or equipment to prevent corrosion.

- Drills holes in walls, floors, and ceilings for electrical installations.

- Connects wire to motors, fixtures, and other electrical equipment, replaces switches and fuses

while under the supervision of a mechanic.

- Assists in bending, cutting, and threading pipe for the installation of industrial piping.

- Cuts out and joins parts for worktables, benches, shelves and other furnishings, using power

tools and hand tools.

- Patches or replaces plaster or plaster board and paints walls, ceilings, floors and trim of building.

- Clears clogged drains and replaces plumbing fixtures.

- Operates welding machine to repair or join metal parts.

credentials and a desire to participate in an important team, in Hapco’s fast-paced manufacturing

environment.

through hands-on education and training.

WHAT WILL THIS POSITION INCLUDE?

Hapco has a very full ‘catch all’ inventory room which needs sorting followed by identification and

documentation. Items include circuit boards, PLC cards, electronic components and much more.

REQUIRED

• Excel experience. The intern will create a spreadsheet of all parts, control cards, (relay logic,

etc.) as he/she inventories the room.

• This individual must be very focused, willing and able to help with organization of these

important items.

• This is a dirty job as the room has been idle for quite a while.

Bharat Forge PMT Technologie, a state-of-the art forging operation in NE Tennessee, has an immediate

need for the following position in its Maintenance Department.

Industrial Electronics Technician: This position includes troubleshooting PLC controlled presses and CNC

machine centers, data highway, SCR power controls, 3-phase motors and controllers, conveyor systems,

induction heaters and hydraulic/pneumatic systems in a heavy industrial environment. An Associate

Degree in Electronics or equivalent training is a minimum requirement. Experience with Allen Bradley

500 Series and RS Logic software preferred.

TOOL & DIE MAKER: Individuals in this position will work with the latest in CNC equipment to

manufacture and maintain forge die tooling. This position requires hands-on experience in the

programming, set-up and operation of this equipment. Certification in the tool-making field is preferred.

TOOL & DIE APPRENTICESHIP and CO-OP PROGRAMS: Available upon request.

FORGE DIE SERVICE TECH: Individuals in this position will work on die repair and set up tooling. Good

mechanical skills are needed. This position requires post high school course work in blueprint reading,

trigonometry, measuring tools, and quality inspection in the machine tool trade.
