St. Rose School We Exist To Bring The Catholic Faith To Life Messenger October 2019 Principal’s Message Thank you, October for the very essence of fall, the changing color, cooling air, falling rain, and shorter days. We are reminded that all of this and more is of God’s hands. Remember the words from Matthew, “Look at the birds in the sky. They do not sow or reap, they gather nothing into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Which of you by worrying can add a moment to his life-span? Learn a lesson from the way the wild flowers grow. If God can clothe in such splendor the grass of the field, which blooms today and is thrown into the fire tomorrow, will he not provide much more for you? Stop worrying then over questions like, ‘What are we to eat, or what are we to drink, or what are we to wear?’ Your heavenly Father knows all that you need. Seek His way of holiness and all these things will be given to you.” from Mt 6:26-33 Let the change of seasons come; let its splendor fill you with gratitude in your time of harvest. In Christ, Ms. Suzanne Smoley 1

Messenger October 2019

 Principal’s Message

Thank you, October for the very essence of fall, the changing color, cooling air, falling rain, and shorter

days. We are reminded that all of this and more is of God’s hands. Remember the words from Matthew,

“Look at the birds in the sky. They do not sow or reap, they gather nothing into barns; yet your heavenly

Father feeds them. Which of you by worrying can add a moment to his life-span? Learn a lesson from

the way the wild flowers grow. If God can clothe in such splendor the grass of the field, which blooms

today and is thrown into the fire tomorrow, will he not provide much more for you? Stop worrying then

over questions like, ‘What are we to eat, or what are we to drink, or what are we to wear?’ Your

heavenly Father knows all that you need. Seek His way of holiness and all these things will be given to

you.” from Mt 6:26-33 Let the change of seasons come; let its splendor fill you with gratitude in your

time of harvest.

In Christ,

Ms. Suzanne Smoley

Box Tops Collection Competition! Over the summer, some participating Box Tops brands changed from the physical Box Tops clip to the new Box Tops icon. With the new program, St. Rose earns Box Tops money when you scan your eligible receipt via the Box Tops app. The app automatically adds Box Tops to St. Rose’s earnings online. To submit digital Box Tops simply download the Box Tops app, register, and select St. Rose School. Using

the app, scan your receipt that contains Box Tops products. We are still collecting physical Box Tops until they have reached their expiration date. If you have been collecting over the summer break, submit a sheet filled with 50 Box Tops by Friday, October 25th and receive a coupon for a free treat at Chick-Fil-A. Submit a second sheet with 25 more Box Tops and receive a 2nd coupon! Submit a third sheet containing 25 Box Tops and receive a 3rd coupon! If you have submitted Box Tops via the app, take a screenshot of your submissions, print it out, and send it in with your student to receive a coupon for a free treat at Chick-Fil-A! Supporters can ‘double dip’ during the packaging transition by clipping the physical Box Tops AND scanning their receipt with those participating items. Please note, a few brands are not allowing the ‘double dip’ and will return a message in the app that the brand is a ‘clip only’ brand and encourage users to submit the physical Box Tops to their participating school.
